Skin pricing
I think skin pricing has become a problem recently in DBD, the new onryō skin is 1485 auric cells. Why? There’s no new voicelines, no new animations, it’s not even a different character, it’s just her but decayed. Trickster’s ultra rare outfit is just him in a stage costume, while yes, it’s great it has different voicelines, so does legions other cosmetics and they’re cheaper
the huntress Baba Yaga skin should be the standard for a killer skin of that price

They should try to remake the Legion's Animation. and for Trickster and Onyro's they should have it too. I don't know why they have that kind of way to make it so they can have more money to the budget which is disappointing to some fans out there.

All of the cosmetics are too expensive. They should lower the prices or have frequent sales on them.
1080/1485 AC is too much imo. I would change the price to 500/800 AC permanently.

To which I say that BHVR is a company, and one of the best ones to work for, and their expenses do not pay themselves. Workers are salaried instead of on wages, are supplied with hot food on-site, and overtime/crunch is genuinely non-existent. They need to make their money from somewhere, so I ask: would you prefer expensive chapters, which are mandatory for the full game experience, or expensive skins, which are completely optional?

Skins are expensive anyway, but this is absurd

A company needs to make money. BHVR are a private company and so must also appease their shareholders through large dividends, obtained through high supernormal profits, less the shareholders demand they change business strategy to focus on supernormal profits.
So no, actually, it's not absurd, it's semi-advanced-but-still-only-a-level microeconomic theory and very basic business theory.
Corporations exist to make money. They are not your friend.

They could get rich by simply sell pantless David for 1400 auric cell.

Supply and demand.

Insightful, they should sell the game for 60 euro and skins should all be 1601 auric cells bcuz they’re a company,
your point makes no sense, I’m not asking WHY BHVR charges money for skins, I’m pointing out their laziness and anti consumer practices

"Insightful, they should sell the game for 60 euro and skins should all be 1601 auric cells bcuz they’re a company,"
Actually, terrible idea. Without getting too into the diagrams wherever supply and demand for a good or service meet is where you should price, in order to maximise producer surplus while maintaining allocative efficiency. Alternatively, price wherever costs are lowest in order to maximise profits (which they can do, as they hold a monopoly in this area of the market).
Charging well above the equilibrium, especially on a video game that's very likely to have incredibly income elastic demand as it's a luxury normal product, does nothing but exclude the poorer players and lose the company money.
If the current prices are what people have shown they are willing to and able to pay at, then the current prices are the going rate. And I'm pretty sure over 5 years someone at BHVR, or someone contracted by BHVR, would've done at least some looking into the market to figure this out.
"I’m pointing out their laziness and anti consumer practices"
They have a monopoly, people have shown they are willing to pay this much. Corporations are not the friends of consumers, they will try to scam you out of as much money as they can.

Keep in mind it is a licensed character and the license holder had to approve this and they are also getting paid per sold cosmetic to some extent.

kinda agree here. Though it’s still not like there are advertising anything differently than they are selling. I would personally never buy such a cosmetic for this price.

this one is great and a good example of how they are not lazy. Though i don’t think it’s reasonable to expect this kind of cosmetic to be a standard, but for that kind of pricing. Yeah.
if I played Huntress i would at least consider buying this.

Skins are not mandatory and you can get plenty of skins with the tome, with amazon prime or with Shards. Not only that, but there are sales quite often that go as low as 75% (about 300 AC) for some complete outfits.
To add to that, there are also skins giveaways at times (on the official discord, or various twitter channels, fom fog whisperers) and some are event rewards.

You can still call them out on charging the Trickster skin as much as Baba Yaga when the effort put into the skins is not even close to comparable.I'm not gonna judge Sadako since she's licensed.

You're a consumer, speak with your wallet, the only talk that a business will ever understand.

It's all over the place.
They really need to make a standardized model. Make it so that rarity tiers have fixed prices.
It would also make it a lot better for the portfolio and attracting licenses - knowing that there's little competition between tiers.
Then all you have to do is tier the item appropriate to its desired cost.
I'd rather see cool cosmetics in the 'yellow' tier garbage bin than seeing a bunch of mismatched and seemingly random price tags.
