Yeah this ones controversial I know. We love it, or we hate it. Don't really think there's a middle ground here. I hope this doesnt turn into an argument but would not be surprised if it did. Just chose what you think about it and after a week or couple days depending on how fast y'all answer I'll make a discussion on it.

    Dead Hard takes little skill

It is pretty straightforward ability. Whats so special about it that requires a lot of "skill'?

I mean when your top mmr the whole holding your dh or perfect timing it is pretty skillful i suppose. Im not going to say to much though sense Im only going to reveal my position when I make the discussion

DH takes less skill then Lithe and SB and even Balanced landing but I would not say it takes 0 skill. The rarest time that I have it on I DH into a wall and easily get downed. There are the players that abuse the perk by having a script run that hits it at the exact time it will be needed and these players have no skill. A perfect timed DH takes skill.

It's not an instant win - you gotta use it at the right time, and you need to know when it can be used.

I've seen people Dead-Hard into a wall - seemingly going nowhere, but timing it perfectly to get the I-frames to avoid a Huntress Hatchet - which sailed right through them

At the same time though, it isn't rocket science.

Bad guy about to hit, press the 'no hit me' button.

Oh no! I need just a little more distance because am in trouble! Press the 'free distance' button.

Dead Hard/ Press E to win or no skill

It's literally press E to undo a chase. It takes no skill to just press a button.

I don't think it's completely braindead, but the amount of benefit you get for how little skill it takes... it's absolutely absurd. That goes double when it's used solely for distance. It just becomes an "I WIN" button

"Press E to extend chase by 30+ seconds" is what it is. There's a reason Dead Hard for distance is popular. Getting to another pallet can be the difference between a 5 gen chase and a 0 gen one. In hindsight, I maybe should've said little skill rather than none, cause actually dodging an attack with it does require SOME sense of timing or prediction, but when it comes to distance it could not be more braindead without literally being passive. It really feels like a button that just says "You lose, I win" in those situations.

It's an absolute shame, because you are both SO right.

Pressing 'E' just to get to a pallet faster takes virtually no judgement - just lets you safely extend the chase.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was an actual downside to using it, something to balance the perk other than the pathetic Exhaustion.
