I think the community is in a vicious circle
I'd like to talk about something and I hope that you'll be able to discuss about the topic without verbally beating each other up.
I wanted to play a few rounds of DBD this afternoon to switch off from everyday life.
If I play survivior, I'm a solo survivor player, I chose to play solo because I find so many swf players to be toxic.
I used to play with other players a few months ago, but I didn't like their behavior towards the "opponent" at all.
So I refused to play swf.
Well... BUT ... solo survivor just keeps getting worse and worse. I try to relax from everyday life, but I'm a lot more stressed playing this game in solo queue than I could be in my everyday life.
After having killers in every single match today with instadown addons and/or slugging, camping, tunneling and as if that wasn't enough also hitting the survivors on hook who ended the matches within 2-3 minutes , even though they absolutely could see that we were a completely uncoordinated solo team I just gave up for now.
It hurts especially in solo queue when you lose pips through such behavior and hardly get any BP, especially when you didn´t play the game since 2016 and still have a LOT to grind.
After all these matches today, a question came up in me.
A lot of killer players complain about swf and that they would like to see swf gone, right ?
But when you're so tryhard against solo teams, and the team has absolutely no chance of a little bit of fun and rewards at the end, then as a solo player you almost feel forced to play swf.
I'm also now thinking about looking for a new swf team again, although I don't really like it to play swf, but I can't enjoy a minute of this game in solo queue anymore.
It's a vicious circle.
Killers are stressed out by swfs, then they treat every team as if it were a swf, when they realize it's not a swf they play even harder to get at least a fast and easy 4K every now and then, with the result that the solo players are so frustrated that they start looking for a swf. And so the circle repeats itself over and over again.
Slowly, as a solo player, I also wish that swf weren't there. SWF also hurts solo players, because killers play absolutely relentlessly in every match because of swf and their experiences with them.
I know that will never happen because swf teams are probably the people who will put most money into the game for BHVR, but I just wanted to write down my thoughts because after today's session I'm pretty sad because I'm not enjoying the game as a survivor anymore.
And please don't tell me play killer. I already do that :)
But in a game that has 2 roles do I want to play both roles and have fun with both roles for variety.
And I'm a relatively chilled killer player, as soon as I realize I'm not dealing with a coordinated swf, I slow down my game so that the team also has a chance of decent bp and maybe even a pip. I know how awful it feels to be sent back to the queue after 2-3 minutes of a match with under 10K BP and a minus pip. It´s so demotivating.

How would this be any different if you were in a SWF? Killers would still have insta down addons, they would still camp, and the will still smack you on the hook. Only difference I see would be the ability to tell your teammates to leave you and pound gens.

Yeah, this game is stuck in a cycle with both sides having to deal with valid issues. Hoping for a well-rounded balance patch soon... or after 20 chapters.

Precisely why I say we should fix the gap between solo q and swf before fixing the killer/survivors balance. With recent buffs & nerfs it seems BHVR is balancing killers around swf and high mmr which makes the solo q experience even more miserable and is very regrettable. I don't play to win but i'm not going to stick around much longer if i'm not having any fun tbh
