Is There a Reason a FOV Slider Hasn't Been Added?
I can't recall this ever being answered in an FAQ so I'm sorry if I'm mistaken but why hasn't a FOV slider been introduced at least for killer? It is such an amazing QoL and it is a shame it hasn't been done yet. What could be the reason for stopping the introduction?

It would "ruin the ballance" which is a comoleat overstatement. Simply for accessibility reasons it should be added. I cant play killer for more then around an hour or so before getting a little motion sickness.
Again the main reason we were provided for not having it in the game is thay killers could see too much and would ruin survivor stealth tactics.

There's no real reason imo.
Stealth wouldn't get hit, as the only reason stealth is successful if because seeing Survivors with the current FOV sucks and is way too hard, especially when Survivors use skins that make them harder to see

Do you mean it would get hit? Because a better fov would definitely make it easier to spot survivors.

BHVR's stated reason is this game is balanced around a limited FOV, intentionally allowing survivors to evade a killer by skirting through blind spots. Personally, I don't think that's a good design ethic.

Neither do I, balancing the game around FOV is just silly and giving a slider wouldn't actually hurt anything serious in balance besides giving a long-needed qol

I think the original intention of skirting around giant blind spots should just be removed entirely, to be honest. Even with up to 103 (FOV with Shadowborn), there will still be blind spots, so it's not like it completely kills it either. Just means things like running up to the killer or being right beside the killer will not be possible, which I don't consider a meaningful loss.

I've started playing with shadowbourne and o my is it a game changer no matter the killer. I see so much more, catch survivors out of the corner of my eye that I normally wouldn't, etc. I'd recommend replacing your weakest perk with it and seeing how you do.

Because for some reason, survivors should be able to "mindgame" the killer by running into them, hugging their body, crouching right in front of them, and going inside of their body after a hit.

Because FOV is tied to balance in this game. A slider couldn't exist because who would willingly gimp themselves? Because that's what a slider would be.

I mean im naturally gimped because of motion sickness so im forced into running a perk.

I'd prefer killer FoV to be a constant with no variables.
Sucks for the people who have head issues from it because I dont kbow of a solution.

They did some internal testing with a higher FOV before and found it to be too strong. This was mentioned before on an older dev stream.

Did you guys know the killer FOV is set like a foot in front of your actual model because you used to be able to walk your slasher to a locker and look inside of it via clipping?

Blight still had it until his height fix. If you looked down while against a locker you could look inside, it and they tried to shadow patch it once but you could still do it until the height fix.
