Nothing matters except for NOED/No Way Out!
That's the reality of the low-mid tier killers against good teams. Nothing that happens before the gens are all done matters. It's just if you can maybe get a kill or 2 solely from NOED/No Way Out. There's no reason for you to get a kill at that point either, because they can cleanse NOED and wait out No Way Out, but their incompetence gives you kills anyway. If you don't have either of those perks in endgame, you're screwed. But if you do you have a chance for them to mess up and not walk away empty handed. You just have to hope that they allow you to slug everyone with NOED, and nobody has Unbreakable or Soul Guard.
What gets you into that position can't be avoided by anything you can do either. You know these survivors can do these gens way faster, as unbelievable as that is. You know they could just not make dumb mistakes like running into walls, or dropping when they don't have balanced, or medium vaulting a weak window. Because hey, none of that matters because they have way too many safe pallets they can instant drop/stun you with. They don't even have to give you 1 down let alone a hit, but they do just to toy with you and give you hope, like a cat playing with his food. They can be godlike and go all out, be godlike and screw around, or just be mediocre because they still have absolute control over the match.
This is why I've stopped playing the game as much, when I always made time for it before. There's no fun in losing to survivors repeatedly no matter what you do, and then never getting to feel that same level of power unless you're a 4-man SWF. And even better, the only killers, perks, and add-ons that give you a sliver of a chance against these teams? They always get nerfed sooner or later. I don't care how many buffs killers have gotten over the years. That hasn't changed a thing.

Bubba matters, rancor exists too.

I've started doing a "SWF killer" build on Nemesis, NOED, Blood Warden, Knockout and Corrupt with the addons where zombies move at 150% speed when generators are done and 50% faster passively + respawn in the exit gates.
I've had the gate open in my face with two zombies inside it and they went to town on the survivors and then while knockout is still active you get blood warden up and quickly hook the downed survivors in the exit gate.
Really fun.

I'm seeing this used more lately
Wonder Why people weren't using it when no way out was buffed back then
1 -
They sleep on it, the fools. They think Ruin and Pop will serve them better in the endgame.

I just don't use noed because I think it's cheap. I use NWO a lot though.
3 -
When you lose enough games you should have won, you'll consider using it.
2 -
It's no less cheap than any perks your opponents use. At least with NoEd, you're stuck playing with three perks the whole match and are at risk of it never activating. And for the most part, you can tell when a bad killer is going to have it since they're bad and you should have plenty of time cleaning totems.
2 -
NWO is much cheaper than NOED, survivors have no way to counter it.
0 -
They can wait it out. The killer gets a notification that they touched the gate, but they can literally just hide it out.
2 -
NWO isn't cheap at all; the killer has to earn most of its effect and it can be countered by waiting it out.

While it's true you are playing most of the match w/ 3 perks that doesn't really make it any more fair imo. Cleansing all 5 totems is a huge waste of time against any killer that isn't running the perk, and boons and pentimento exist now which encourage you not to.
I don't necessarily want to see it nerfed, I just want it to be reworked.
2 -
It is fair since a killer wastes a huge amount of time playing around perks that multiple survivors may or may not have. You don't need to cleanse all 5 totems, you just need to remember where they are, especially the more hidden ones and go back and cleanse it if they do have it. And again, if the killer was bad, then the team of survivors should have no problem looping them long enough to do gens and totems. If the killer was putting up so much pressure that there was no time to do totems, then frankly, they earned the NoEd activation. The only time when it's an issue is when it's a camping Bubbi boy, but that's a killer problem, not a perk one.
Reworking is nerfing it.

I dunno. I have been finding Demo to be one of the best lategame build users. And NOED is kinda garbage tbh. Unless you are playing a killer who can camp a hook well, a bodyblocking SWF can still get out with BT/DS/DH after just breaking the totem and it only buys you one hook.
Rancor is the way to go, if the game is going south at like 1 gen left you find the obsession and just follow them around until endgame.
But why is demo so good at it? Behold:
Only killer in the game who gets map-wide wallhacks for the endgame rancor kill. You can pretty much throw for 5 gens, and still 2k purely off rancor and NWO. You could probably dump enduring for something else way better but I just like using it on him.

ive been on the nwo noed train for months now, im a firm believer in it. Only reason I havent been using it as of late is because I've been too busy integrating Pain Resonance into my Starstruck Agitation builds.
the exit gates are a chokepoint. one you cant realistically keep sealed, so why not use it against the survivor? Exit Gates are the new 3 gen lol.
I personally use Lethal, BBQ, NWO NOED. I like the way the build flows. Plus winning without ever going to end game makes you the ultimate Chad as you had basically 1.5 perks the whole game.

I only dislike NOED and rancor in terms of boosting kill stats.
As a whole the perks arent all that and let's be honest if the whole mmr wasnt based on escapes it wouldn't be so bad

People wouldn't know the meta if it Dab Harded into their proverbial Killer Shack, cuh. They literally need content creators to tell them what is good, and then the other half that believe they are free thinkers tell us that Sadako is good to be edgy or something. It is a mess...

I see what you are saying.
But.
I still prefer perks that’d help me win during ninety percent of the match then a perk that’ll maybe help me at the end of a match. If I’m being rolled. If they aren’t dead before the fifth gen, anyways.

Technically you should use a combo like Corrupt+deadlock to go along Noed+NWO. Just sayin'.
They don't even have to give you 1 down let alone a hit, but they do just to toy with you and give you hope, like a cat playing with his food. They can be godlike and go all out, be godlike and screw around, or just be mediocre because they still have absolute control over the match.
Can I get those survivors in soloQ, please? Thanks.
Knockout is irrelevant against SWF. You're using a soloQ killer build.

I'm not using it for the Blind status I'm using it for the 15 seconds of slow crawling to prevent them from escaping the exit gates by crawling and then getting blood warden up before they can crawl to the exit line.
That was a new effect added a few patches ago.
And then the NOED is just there as an extra to get that one fully healed person downed instantly so they are forced to leave or as SWF usually does they hang around getting greedy and play straight into the blood warden and become trapped like rats in a barrel.

Another case of git gud and the need to accept your own inability to play well.

NWO is such an overrated perk in my opinion. Almost never do I see killers actually get much value if any at all from it. Off the top of my head I can't even remember the last time I saw it used and it wasn't nearly a wasted slot.
2 -
It is pretty much a wasted perk, survs can tap the switch and then play immersion simulator, do a few totems, light a few boons and then open it once it's gone.
2 -
I do use Corrupt/Deadlock as well.
1 -
Right, are you one of those people who go around saying, "I coulda beat that team. I'm good enough."? Because most anyone can claim that.
0 -
It makes it to where the game isn't over once the last gen has been done, which is invaluable.
0 -
That's exaggerating how good it is. Good survivors will just hide and wait it out.
0 -
Yes, I've seen that. But it's better than the gates being opened 20 seconds after the last gen gets done.
0 -
It's not better than just running another slow down perk that prevents the gates from getting powered in the first place and adds way more than what you get from that perk.
0 -
Then you're fully ascended. I was just pointing out that Noed+nwo on their own are unlikely to do much. But make a full build around it and apply the proper macro strategy and you can force a 2k. Epitome of balance.
1 -
I've been playing around with those perks too, rather than stacking the slowdown you stack the endgame. The more efficient the swf the more value you tend to get.
Usually they smash out gens too quick to find or cleanse all totems and you get good NOED value topping off the rancor mori for a late game 2-3K. after 1 hook.

Sad thing is even with that build, I get 1ks and 0ks all the time. Survivors just have so much power over the killer, the best thing we have isn't enough sometimes.
