Ashley's Perk Change Project
So, most of you know that Ashley J. Williams perks are absolute #########, like an African village river type of #########. So I'm starting this unofficial project for the community to come up with ideas to replace his perks and make them actually good and perks that relate to him more.
These are Ashley's three perks.
Flip Flop
You have an uncanny ability to escape the inevitable.
While in the Dying State, 50 % of your Recovery progression is converted into Wiggling progression, up to a maximum of 40/45/50 %, once you are picked up by the Killer
"Catch ya on the flip-flop." — Ash Williams
Buckle Up
Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.
You can determine the Recovery progress of dying Survivors by the intensity of their Aura at a distance of 48 metres away. When healing another Survivor from the Dying State to the Injured State, the Killer's Aura is revealed to the both of you for 6/8/10 seconds.
"Ghost beaters never leave a man behind." — Ash Williams
Mettle of Man
Evil has a way of always finding you.
After triggering your third Protection Hit, Mettle of Man activates and you are protected by the Endurance
Status Effect:
Any damage taken that would put you into the Dying State from the Injured State is blocked.
When you are healed again, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer whenever you are farther than 12/14/16 metres away.
Mettle of Man deactivates the next time you are put into the Dying State.
Increases the odds of becoming the Killer's initial Obsession by +100 %.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
"Evil has a bullseye on my back the size of Tiger Stadium." — Ash Williams
Perk Quality
Buckle Up is just the worst, survivors already see the aura of dying survivors, Buckle Up just lets you know their healing progression. The only way to make this useful is when you're in a chase and need to pick up that survivor, but then that survivor will most likely get whacked again by the killer.
Mettle of Man is decent but is only good for sabotage builds.
Flip Flop is useless unless it's paired with other perks like Unbreakable, Tenacity and Boil Over.

My tweaks.
Buckle Up:
Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.
You can determine the Recovery progress of dying Survivors by the intensity of their Aura at a distance of 48 metres away. When healing another Survivor from the Dying State to the Injured State, the Killer's Aura is revealed to the both of you for 6/8/10 seconds. If you successfully recover a survivor from the Dying State any other survivors currently in the Dying State are given a once per match ability to pick themselves up from the Dying State as well. After this happens the effect is lost for the remainder of the trial.
Flip Flop
You have an uncanny ability to escape the inevitable.
While in the Dying State, 50 % of your Recovery progression is converted into Wiggling progression, up to a maximum of 40/45/50 %, once you are picked up by the Killer. The progression transferred is maintained (up to 40/45/50%) for the remainder of the trial until you successfully escape the killer's shoulder. Then the perk resets.

WOAH THERE, SONNY!
You can't just give other survivors built in unbreakable just from healing one survivor from the dying state. Flip flop is a good change but Buckle up needs something different. What about something similar to Babysitter where you get a haste effect for the same amount of time? Maybe even have it continuously give haste until you stop healing the survivor which will then be made into a short duration.

One of my ideas that I posted before this was to replace Buckle Up entirely with a new perk I made called Swallow This. Swallow This rewards the survivor for dodging attacks, if the survivor dodges an attack, a token is gained. If the survivor gains up to a maximum of 3 tokens, hitting the survivor stuns the killer.

A single time use unbreakable to prevent a slugger, which can at best be used to get two other survivors up once seems reasonable to me. Here, how's this: it doesn't work on any survivor with a perk giving them the ability to get up on their own anyway.

Actually I don't mind your fix. It adds something to getting people up with the perk more than just an aura.

A swf could just have the person run that plus unbreakable anyway. Dear god. Imagine Ds, Adrenaline, borrowed and dead hard along with one person there bringing your version of buckle up... Glad you like my idea, though.

Playing the game 50/50 as killer/survivor I must say... it is getting pretty painful for killers. So, point noted.

Same here. Though occasionally my dumb self gets entitled on either side no matter what. Not even us 50/50's are safe.

This is the thing I was talking about for my idea for Buckle Up. I changed it so it no longer gives the Enduring status effect.

Had another idea involving fast vaulting windows to stun a killer like the head on of windows. Everybody wants to kick a killer in the face! Also I read that earlier but I'm too tired to comprehend it rn.

It's like Mettle of Man but instead of taking Protection hits you need to dodge the killers attack, and instead of getting Enduring like Mettle of Man you get to stun the killer when you get hit.

Oh okay. Thanks for letting me know. Have a good one.

My Buckle-up rework:
"After picking up a survivor from the dying state or unhooking them, you and that survivor receive a 5/6/7% haste status effect for 5 seconds."
This keeps the same theme of attempting to save others from sticky situations but with a better effect that's more likely to be used.

That seems a bit like the perk Guardian.
You risk it all to help those in need. When you unhook a Survivor, the rescued Survivor benefits from the following effects for 4/6/8 seconds:
- Scratch Marks and Pools of Blood are suppressed.
- 7 % Haste Status Effect, boosting their Movement speed.
Guardian reveals the Killer's Aura to you for 8 seconds.

True but they still have their differences.
