Anyone gonna do anything about

"Acceptable gameplay" you sir have a dangerous mindset about gaming.
There's one way to play this properly everything else is unacceptable.
My idea of fun is the only idea of fun everything else is inferior!
Someone found a silly little mechanic that can result in typically 1-2 heads popping, its very rare to see more than 1 pop.
The fix is to make boxes accessible from all angles so they can't be body blocked, no other nerfs are needed and frankly if you lose one game every now and then to it it really isn't the end of the world.
I say try it yourself before its patched out, you may actually have fun.
The amount of puritanical melodrama in the DBD community is staggering.

Yeah its whining.
I had one game against a mechanic that made me die boo hoo. Is all it is.
Try this if you encounter it.
Oh man its me that's gonna go pop, try and finish a gen or whatever you want to do and then laugh oh well its only a game and move on.
Oh I didn't get many blood points this game that's ok its an imaginary meaningless currency that comes from an infinite soucre providing you just keep playing.
Here we have a character based on the saw franchise and someone found a way to create a hopeless scenario that really emulates the saw franchise.
Spoiler alert the bad guy lies on the floor all movie then kills the guy who can't escape. I'd say AFK pig is right on the ######### money theme wise.
Bit its not faiiiirr waahhhhh!, learn to laugh safe in the knowledge it will probably be patched out eventually.

I think you are wildly misinterpreting my emotions regarding this. I’m not “whining”, I’m despondent because this is yet another thing solo queue’s just cannot reliable handle. I just want to play the game and consistently stand a decent chance to win. I don’t need to win every game, I very much don’t.
Yes, it’s very much in-character for the Pig, and to a degree I can appreciate that. But I have been facecamped/seen facecamps far too many times for me not to be highly opposed against this even cheaper strategy. I don’t care how effective it is, I don’t care how ‘fun’ it is for the pig themselves, nothing and nobody should be able to change the end-state of a match by standing still and doing #########-all.
Remember: It’s a game. Games should be winnable, otherwise there’s no point. Even Saw, at very least, offers the victims the idea that they could escape, until they realise that the trap was rigged from the start. This doesn’t do that.

No, games create scenarios that may be un-winnable sometimes.
Its not a great mechanic but it’s also not the end of the world.
There are lots of games that can create a zero sum un-winnable scenario.
Also it’s not immediately unwinnable, I’ve had plenty of games where every survivor got the traps off, it’s just very RNG heavy.
The idea that all games should be fair and balanced and consistently winnable for everyone involved is deluded. It’s online pvp with a lot of varied abusable mechanics, it’s gonna be zero sum sometimes.
I think survivor would be much more exciting to play if more games were zero sum and you had no guarantees of escape much like a real survival horror experience.
It’s still possible to hatch out against it, it’s really hard but possible. My team has done it twice. I’ve also died once to it with a head pop. I’ve seen it played twice only in random games. The first time we escaped was a kill your friends match where we played around with how to counter it and found a working counter.
Yeah the one time I faced it solo my head popped, but it became a race to get as many blood points as I could before I went down. It was actually kinda desperate and fun.
Look at all the overreaction posts across all the afk pig threads…
“I can’t believe people defend this play style”
”I’d never do this in game. Its horrible”
”It robs people of their license to play”
”It should be banned”
”toxic blah blah blah”
Its nuts. This community is completely nuts with overreaction about a game.
I can imagine what it would be like playing a boardgame with a lot of this community they’d be screaming, huffy, dice throwing, table flipping children if things didn’t go exactly as they wanted them to.

Devs have stated this is not bannable as it is not an exploit.
Sidenote: I hate Pig, do not play her, nor do I consider this a good strat. But its not an exploit.

99 the gens and break all the totems.

Well yes, I sorta have to agree there. Though I have to add that the 'you were dead from the start' thing is only revealed at the end, not very early on in the match. Regardless, character/lore accuracy should be one of the last things to consider when it comes to this, imo. Moreover, I highly doubt the devs intended this, so it's not like they went "that's so Amanda" when they designed it, or whatever.
The equivalency to a board game would look more like 1 player constantly being forced to skip a turn because the player opposite them has tons of "the person in front of you must skip their turn" cards. Is it within the game's rules? No one questions that. Did any player intentionally grief that specific player? No, not really, it's just how the cookie crumbles. They could swap seats, but then another player gets to eat the stacked deck.
Actually, that's not too applicable, 'cause the Pig is standing still. The equivalence would be that the sucker doesn't get to win because they so-happened to be seated across that one guy with a trump card that says "the person opposite you cannot win the match, they can only help their teammates."
Yes, you can have a laugh at RNG screwing that one sucker over, but you also cannot blame them for being a teensy bit miffed that their chances for victory (or even a normal game, for that matter) were denied. Not everyone is the best of sports, and you cannot ask them to be in full control of their emotions. Yes, it's a game, and yes, I am maybe taking this too seriously for my own good. But in this specific case the Pig is standing still, doing nothing. Occassional RNG screwing you over is fine, it's what makes games like Binding of Isaac and various deck-building games so satisfying. But that's culiminations of poor RNG, not another player choosing to sit still and do nothing.
Not to mention that it's entirely possible for more than 1 survivor to be the 'sucker' in this scenario. The 'counterplay' folks mention here fails to account for that/those other survivor(s). Someone even said something akin to "sucks to be u, but there's nothing you can do". That's simple BS.
I'm not calling for bans. That's an overreaction, I'll give you that. Same for calling it "toxic gameplay".
If, somehow, you (generally speaking) have missed my main issue with this whole thing, it's simply that standing still, doing nothing, should not result in a guaranteed death because of sheer RNG. You say yourself that DbD is RNG-heavy, and I'm not denying that. But to make the most out of it, it still requires player input. This requires less input than a facecamping Bubba.
Things being rare should not trump the notion of something just being BS, and "AFK" Pig is just that, BS.
I think I've said everything I have to say on this. I think I won't be able to convince you, so I'll leave it there.

Statistically speaking your odds are quite good to choose the right one and not die, and in the end isn't that all that really matters? The shtatishtiks?

The ol tantrum mike drop.
Stop taking the game so seriously maybe you'll be less of a twat about it. That's all I got left too.
