I'm extremely confused. How does anybody get any hits over a pallet?

I've been playing killer all morning and I seriously don't get it. I was using NOED and had bloodlust 3 and couldn't hit a survivor over a pallet. He ran around one of the weakest pallets in the game for ages because he was just faster than me and I couldn't hit him over the pallet at all. Then I went into a game where I was tier 3 Myers and couldn't ever hit a single survivor around a normal rock loop.

When I'm a survivor every single killer will hit me when I'm touching the ground on the other side of the pallet so how is it that I can't do it as killer with NOED active and bloodlust 3? There is something I'm seriously missing here and I don't get it.

How do you hit a survivor even around the most basic of rock loops? Doubling back doesn't work, they just vault. Mindgaming doesn't work because their vaults are just faster than any lunge I can do. What do I have to do?

Do you have a picture of the loop? Some Loops do require brute force, while some can be double backed. Thank you.

The one where I couldn't down the guy with bloodlust 3 and NOED was this piano loop here. I ran around it, double backed, and tried mind gaming it and he ran around it like 20 times before I could down him and I barely did it. When I'm a survivor it's a guarantee hit so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Even with an extended lunge like tier 3 Myers I can't down a survivor at the most basic pallet like that.

If I were to kick the pallet he would have just made it to the next pallet and did it again. It felt literally impossible.

Few things: Don't stick to the Piano side. That's the fatter side.

And the other thing is that you can practice this. Because that shouldn't require Bloodlust. Unless the guy was Spine Chill Resilience.

    Or a Subtle Hacker.

Yeah it's possible he was a subtle hacker and honestly probably was but I still struggle with even the most basic loops and I do everything I can especially playing the short sides and people can just fake the pallet and then make it a whole loop by me hesitating for 0.5 seconds.

I honestly recommend never respecting pallets. If you take a stun, you take a stun. The benefits will far out weigh the consequences. At least to start. Once you have a read on the survivor, you can respect them to save a few seconds. The same applies to breaking, break every safe pallet instantly. On the 50/50 pallets, you can test the waters, if they are running it well, just break. And contrary to the earlier advice, NEVER break the unsafe pallets. You WANT survivors to think they can use it. Obviously the smart ones will rarely take the bait, but you never know.
