Do you remember the time when toolboxes were broken?

Wow, it seems like it was even in another life due to the time that passed.

For new players, you probably don't know this but toolboxes were a very strong item a long time ago, many of you might think toolboxes are a MEH item but that's because you haven't seen their golden age.

For those who don't know, old toolboxes used to have many, MANY charges as well as your addons.

For you to have an idea, the current brown toolbox has 16 charges by default but its old version had 30 charges by default.

I don't know if the numbers are really accurate, but I can say that the charges were very high. Here are some examples:

YELLOW TOOLBOX

current 20 charges / old 60 charges

GREEN TOOLBOX

Mechanic's toolbox

Current 16 charges / old 30 charges

Commodious toolbox ( this one was insane)

Current 32 charges / old 80 charges

ADDONS

Scraps

Current 8 charges / old 15 Charges

Wire spool

Current 12 charges / old 30 charges

Toolboxes were powerful back in the day.

Toolboxes are still strong if you make your build around them.

The number of charges were actually more than listed here

Worn Out Tools - 80 charges (15% increase in repair speed)

Toolbox - 130 charges (15% increase in repair speed)

Commodious Toolbox - 180 charges (15% increase in repair speed)

Mechanics Toolbox - 80 charges (20% increase in repair speed)

Engineers Toolbox - 80 charges (25% increase in repair speed

Alex' Toolbox - 130 charges (10% increase in repair speed)

Yeah, it was kind of crazy. I used to bring a toolbox every game. Commodius Toolbox + Wire Spool and Brand New Part was the best thing to run.

They repaired slower then current toolboxes. They didnt nerf them really they just changed their "use". Instead of having more charges but slower repair speed we got now smaller charges with higher repair boosts.
