Is going for prestige 3 worth it?

I was thinking of going for prestige 3 on killers such as demo and pyramid head as they are licensed killer with limited cosmetics. Is it worth going for prestige 3 just for the bloody cosmetic? Is going for prestige 3 even worth it in general ?

Not really but i love to make max my characters. It depends on you.

But we know prestige system will change, they will reward you more. But we don't have enough info for now.

I haven't prestiged any character since it takes insane amounts of grind to prestige Every character to 3.

In my eyes it truly only makes sense if you want the cosmetics and I as a killer main personally don't understand even that as i only rarely get to see my own skin outside of the weapon and don't really care to look pretty for the survivors.

In league of legends i prefer legendary skins with changed emote and animations and in rainbow six siege only payed for also legendary skins since they also give a special MVP animation and change the looked of the operators signature gadgets.

But DBD offers none of that so i won't ever invest money in this game for a killer skin and planned only to buy a skin for my main survivor character and that would've been it but i quit before getting into survivor.

I P3 everything. I'm a bit of a completionist but also terrified that in a sleep deprived haze I'd accidentally prestige a character I had maxed with all perks, etc.

Is it worth it? Not really. But at least I know there isnt anything not done with the character and I'm not wasting BP if I chose to do it later.

I started with characters with restricted cosmetics (Bill/Myers, etc) but have P3'd most now.

I will never regret P3ing a character. But I could regret not P3ing...

Honestly only do it on licensed characters where you can't buy cosmetics with shards

That's just the way I see it

I'd say no, as you'll mostly only see the weapon anyway. My Artist has every killer perk, so i'm not willing to sit through another grind to get back to that point, even if anniversary cakes are on the horizon.

Survivor though, that depends as you see every detail.

It's not worth it at all unless you really want those bloody cosmetics. Unless they choose to introduce some kind of benefit to prestiging, it's better to get the perks you want on killers you enjoy playing and spend the rest on getting every other character to 40 for their teachables.

if you've done that already you probably want to get all the perks on your favorite killers or work on getting a serviceable perk build on killers you rarely play, but want to try out.

It's not worth it, but I still prestige characters for some reason

Getting to P3 takes about 30-40 hours. If you play a lot, then it might be worth it to do 2 characters. It's definitely not worth it to do the whole lot these days.

If you don't play pretty regularly its not worth it.

You can wait until they nerf the grind.

Nope, not imo. Not even close. With the current state of the grind all those BP would be much better spend on perks and add ons.

At the very least, I would wait until we see whatever grind reduction measures BHVR is working on before I spent a single bloodpoint on prestiging anything.

Only if you want the Cosmetics.

However, going from P0 to P3 is not really that much grind, at least compared to getting all Perks.

Only if you’re a completionist and/or plan to play those killers regularly. You’ll get a smaller chance at rarer add-ons appearing more frequently, and the only cosmetics available to either of those killers (since Stranger Things license has been removed).

It's not worth it but I have all survivors P3 50 and half the killers P3 50 and plan on doing all of them just bc

Definitely not worth it. I done it on pyramid head & doctor and regret doing it although pyramid heads is pretty cool I still don't think the regrind is worth it.

Maybe if you have all killers at lvl 50 and have a survivor main with all the perks you want then it would be worth slowly doing 1 at a time, but definitely don't start with 2 characters that you like to play (like me) and mess up the perk build you spent a lot of time building.

If you like the cosmetic maybe.

If you don't, complete waste of bps because there is no difference in bloodwebs, from what I have observed.

No it’s not. You only really do it as a way to blow blood points and for collection purposes.

Not worth it at all due to the grind. If all your killers are perked out, sure, go for it but even then you'll be spending (at the very least) a month trying to perk them completely out again.

I would only prestige your mains. No need to try to grind out every character that far.

No. I got 9 people max prestige and I haven't noticed any difference in their blood webs. I only p3 them to eliminate the option all together. I could just lvl them up without prestiging but I'm worried one day I'll change mind. All that BP I poured into them dug me a deeper grave. So I p3 the chars I like so that will never happen.

The only person who can answer this is YOU.

Is it worth that sense that you have maxed out the character?

Is it worth never seeing that "you can prestige your character by... " screen again?

    Is it worth Bloody Cosmetics?

Is it worth realising later down the line that you've splashed lots of BPs on the characters and are just going to have to do it again?

I'm sure there are other questions, but you get the drift.

I have all survivors fully maxed out, but not my killers.

I'd only recommend it if you're a completionist or have nothing else to do with the game.

    If you're a completionist.

I have prestiege 3'd both Mikeala and Nurse, and I would suggest to get all teachables first, or atleast for your unlocked characters and THEN prestiege 3 your main. Your main will probably have your main perks, so only prestiege them after you have the max amount of bloodpoints so you can level them up to roughly lvl 35-40 so you have some lvl 3 perks to start with again.

My heart wants to but the tiny minuscule reward for such a massive grind is ‘not worth’ the payoff. Part of me hopes in year 10 they will make P3 worth it~

I get a survivor/slasher to level 50 and stop leveling them up there. No buying items on them anymore. When I use up all their items and their inventory is empty I prestige them and do it again. If I like a character enough to P3 them then I get all perks on them.

When you do it that way nothing is wasted, and if you aren't playing them/using the bloody cosmetics then it doesn't really matter anyway.

  • Mister_xD

    no.

you get a bloody cosmetic (which are just the characters base skin with a blood filter over it) and like a 1% chance to find a more rare item in your Bloodwebs with each level.

it's definitely not worth the amount of time you gotta sink into it - and i say that as someone who has been prestiging and maxing out every Killer i could (i believe by the time i quit (4.7k hours) i had everyone fully maxed out except for Twins and i think Trickster... Nemesis (the newest Killer at that time) was a work in progress too).

For survivors always a yes due to higher quality items appearing more often. The same can be said too about killers but on some killers you dont always want their higher quality addons for your build and a few browns and yellows tend to be better then using their purple and iri. So ultimately if its a killer you love to play as go look at all their addons in a custom match and see if its worth the trade off. A p3 killer will still get the occasional brown and yellow but not nearly as much stockpiled by the time you hit lvl 50 p3. Alot of the addons have over time gotton adjusted and fixed tho so this isnt really as crucial anymore just wanted you to know it before you made the plunge since one you prestige theres no turning back.

I prestiged two survivors and then after that realized how much of a waste it is to prestige characters. I wouldn’t do it
