Game crashes still give dc pentalty? for real?

just had a crash after a long and boring match at RPD (please, just delete this map, thank you), and after sending the report i have to eat the dc penalty? this is a meme

While it is annoying, I'm not sure how the game would be able to differentiate between a crash and a ragequit?
You have my sympathy, though, that does sound annoying.

There’s no way to differentiate between a legit crash and someone force quitting the game. If the devs did what you wanted and removed penalty for “crashes” then everyone would just force quit the game when they’re having a bad match.
