Generators. How can you tell if someone is hacking?
I'm sure many people have this question so I'm throwing it out there. Whenever I play Survivor this never occurs but in a noticeable amount of my Killer matches, gens sometimes pop unusually quickly. What is the standard amount of time for a gen to pop from the onset of the match? I just had a team of four Meg's pop a single gen in under 30 seconds. Thankfully it was shack and I brought the basement offering (Insidious Bubba). I ended up hooking two and yet the other two Meg's were able to pop four other gens in under two minutes. I ended up getting a 4k but I found the gen situation odd for a number of reasons. They had no perks involving gen speed (only running) and no toolboxes. I reported it but does this sound SUS to anyone, and how can you tell?

Gens take 80 seconds with 1 Survivor.
47 Seconds with 2 Survivors.
39 seconds with 3 Survivors
36 seconds with 4 Survivors.
So under 30 seconds is probably not possible, but around that, is indeed possible if they all spawn there. Which is not a bad situation for the Killer tbh, 4 Survivors on one Gen means that it is done very fast, but also not efficient on the Survivor Side.

i dont think it was hacks but definitely coordination, also they could have found a toolbox, without footage i can only guess.

Thank you. I figured that one of the two Meg's that I found last was up to something.

Yeah I didn't see any toolboxes. The speed continued until I found the last two. If anything, I think that one of them was being subtle.

I've seen a YouTube video of people using a hack that prevents you missing skill checks. Basically the whole circle is solid white and you can stop it anywhere & get a great skill check. Subtle hack that you probably won't notice, but that extra progression would add up from great skill check.

What about with Prove and toolboxes?

I suppose you could learn the gen times and run tinkerer and time it from when it procs to completion. Throw in discordance to get the extra info if it's just one person on it or more. Not perfect for sure but outside of seeing someone do a gen super quick I don't really see how else you could figure it out.

You say impossible, but a few skillchecks or a prove thyself.... makes a gen go fst

if you have tinkerer and gens pop without warning or soon after the warning, you have a hacker.

OP said that they did not have Prove Thyself. (No Perks involved which increase Genspeed)

Correct. They didn't. But does that prevent you from answering the question anyway if you have the data (because I'd be interested in the numbers), or do you just want to confine the discussion to exactly what OP said?

Gens can be done shockingly fast if survivors are split and coordinated in their positioning. Chases won't ever interrupt gens if they're omega sweating and using a clock system. It may seem like hacking because even "optimal" SWFs usually aren't all that optimal when it comes to gens.

With great difficulty. If they're doing 1% or 2% boosts to speed it can almost be impossible to tell. Fortunately, people tend to get greedy with these things and they'll use 5% movement speed which is much easier to notice when you're not gaining them as quickly as you should be. Unfortunately, it often comes down to experience to notice when things aren't right. Reduced recovery from falling is another good example.

I was really curious because I've had plenty of matches where getting even one generator to 50% seems impossible (a lot of my random matches). If I'm ever in that situation now, I just wait for the hatch. Nobody seems to be helping anyone else and it gets old when I'm single-handedly trying to cover the other 3 survivors with no reciprocation. I shouldn't have to worry about dying for trying to be a good teammate (and this is how Basement Bubba's are born).

I use Call of Brine a lot and the amount of times somebody finishes a gen that was nearly dead and within the minute that CoB is active on that gen and I get NO notifications is really surprising. Perfect great skill checks for basically 90-95% of a gen in under 60 seconds. I have a hard time believing that. 2 people doing 4 gens with no toolboxes and I'm assuming no Prove Thyself is also complete BS. It'd take a little over 3 minutes if they both worked together and you said just under 2 minutes? That's not even subtle. That's blatant as hell.

Im pretty sure that people are using speed hacks on gens, but I think it is hard to tell without video evidence, as long they are not insta popping. Speed hacks, teleporting, wall hacks are way more easier to recognize.

I just had an entire group of PSN cheaters/ hackers. They weren't popping gens but they sure as hell were shoving their insta-healing/ speed/ no chainsaw damage in my face. It was the first time that any group on console has openly admitted to cheating so blatantly. Of course I wasn't even recording so theres nothing that I can do.
