Iron Maiden + BBQ Chili has no counterplay. Discuss.
BBQ Chili = When you hook a survivor, all other survivors' aura are revealed to you if they are farther than 40m from the hook.
Iron Maiden = If a Survivor exits a Locker, they scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds and also inflicting the Exposed status effect for 30 seconds.
So..... either get your location revealed by BBQ Chili, or get revealed by Iron Maiden anyway along with Exposed status effect for 30s.
Awesome. No counterplay.
Unless you dedicate one slot permanently for Disruption. But Disruption only has 4 stacks and gets used up pretty quickly if the Killer has other aura revealing perks.

get closer to them so your aura isn't revealed? Also iron maiden won't do anything unless you are going against a movement killer

Doesn't work well. Some killers are insanely fast at moving across the map. Or it's Huntress with a ranged hatchet. Killer still knows your location and you have to get off the gen and hide from the patrol.

And yes, I agree with you. Survivors should have better anti-aura perks.
With fast killers such as Blight, Nurse, Billy, etc, you don't have enough time to hide, before they can physically see you.

Juke the aura read if you really care by faking direction, or make sure you're up closer to the killer so BBQ can't proc its aura read on you.
Or just... have your aura revealed? I don't see why that'd be a problem, unless you're crouching in a bush somewhere trying to avoid the killer forever.

The easiest counterplay for me is either moving closer to get within range if I strongly suspect BBQ, or using a gen to hide behind. Neither terribly difficult.

If you're not within 40m of the killer, then either deceive them by going one way and then going the other way after BBQ ends, or hide behind a gen aura if you really care about not having your aura revealed. These perks aren't a problem.

The info part of BBQ is pretty mediocre unless you're on a very mobile killer. People generally run it for the BP.

It's stupidly op on Doctor if someone doesn't run Calm Spirit, and let's be honest, this perk is never seen outside people doing Jake adept.
It needs to be fused with another perk to make it playable.

I never see anyone use Iron Maidon and BBQ together yes BBQ helps you find people quickly doesn't do that much against most killers anyway same with Iron Maidon it only shows the scream location not the aura of the survivor so in other words you can still easily avoid both perks cause the killer may go to that position but, you have plenty of time to avoid the dangers these perks have unless they're near you and you exit the locker at the wrong time. That'll be on you rather than the perk.

In combination with BBQ Chili, both IM AND BBQ are perfect harmony. Only countered by a park nobody ever runs... and not all 4 Survivors will run it.

I only run it on huntress or wraith and even then it's mostly to meme. On occassion someone actually gets caught but mostly IM is a dead perk.

Even if one person runs Calm Spirit (low chance), the Killer still tunnels the other 3 people.
BBQ Chilli + Iron Maiden is the perfect tunneling combo.

I used to think the same, but to be honest half of the time the Aura reading of BBQ is unreliable at best. Like, truth to be told, when playing Killer easily 2/3s of the time I don't see Survivors either because they are too close, their Auras are blocked behind other things (such as generators) or I'm legally blind.

2. Crouch and hide behind the gen
3. Boon: Shadow step
4. Disruption
5. Run one direction while you know your aura is revealed, double back after and walk to make sure you don't leave scratch marks.
And those are off the top of my head while celebrating the holiday in the traditional manner. 3 of them don't even require a specific perk to do.

I actually do run this on doc from time to time, mainly because I always run IM on doc, as it synergizes excellently with his power, and some times I really need the extra BP.

You can still hide behind gen auras be within 40 meters be so far away you can juke it or get to a good loop. And who else besides Huntress or Trickster would be running Iron Maiden?

BBQ is useful for encouraging the killer not to camp someone to death, and Iron Maiden is great for teaching your useless teammates not to hide in lockers.

A perk(s) shouldn't be required to counter something overpowered.
If I remember correctly, Iron Maiden was buffed recently so this gives a high mobility killer an instant down.
These two perks are a lose-lose situation.
