Ruin got reworked because it was overused...When is it dead hards turn?
Ruin got reworked because every killer did run it in every Match. We can discuss if the new ruin is really a "nerf" or "buff" but that's not the point.
Dead hard is in every round. And that's not a joke. Sometimes I'm happy when there just 1-2 people are using dead hard but since a few weeks it's mostly 3-4 people running it per game.
So here is my question, how long do we have to wait until it's dead hards turn? How long was ruin in this state before the devs said let's change it?

I'm 90% sure Ruin got reworked because it barely affected good players and heavily hindered beginners

It got looked at because it was widely used.
It was changed for completely different reasons:
We took a close look at the perk to identify what makes it so frustrating to play against. Three key issues were identified:
Its punishment of new players or those who can't hit Great Skill Checks. Newer players trying to help veterans with generator repairs tend to make the situation worse rather than better.
The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer.
Its inconsistency due to the random nature of the appearance interval of skill checks.

Exactly this. I would always hit my greats, but most other random I would play with wouldn't be able to (you were able to tell because the gen would spark if you didnt hit a great) On top of them not being able to hit greats, they would spend an absurd amount of time searching for the totem, wasting tons of time while resources are being used. And since the people searching for totems were usually newer players who couldnt hit greats (not hating on them, just not experienced with the game enough) they didnt know totem spawns that well so those two combinations were very painful. 3 gens were also very very strong if you had your totem in the center of it. Good players just hit their greats, while the lesser experienced players would either waste time looking for the totem or fail skill checks trying to hit greats/hit good skill checks.

It got reworked because it was overused but also because it was badly designed. At high ranks it was good but not amazing. At low ranks where people couldn't hit skill checks it was stupidly strong.
Dead hard has already been confirmed by the devs to get changed.

I do wonder when people will stop highlighting that specific part of the Dev Update.
It's really quite silly and paints your argument in a poor light by excluding relevant information.

It's something that's in the killers favor so probably never or when there are no killer mains anymore...

At this point I wonder if people genuinely just forgot why Ruin actually got changed, if it's an intentional attempt to spread disinformation or somewhere in between.

This. The devs said they changed ruin because new players couldn't hit skillchecks.

Ah again someone spoiling this nonsense about ruin got nerfed due to overuse. Stop telling this lie!

Thx for posting this. I actually rolled my eyes seeing the title because I thought I need to find that post again.

Another post "us vs them" smh
Ruin was too powerful for not experienced players because they couldn't hit great skillchecks easily.
Why is so hard to understand?

Ruin got buffed. Lol.

As others have pointed out, that's not why Ruin was changed, or at least not only that.
To continue, though, the devs have acknowledged Dead Hard being unbalanced, so... it'll be Dead Hard's turn whenever they're done with it.

The devs already mentioned recently that they’re unhappy with Dead Hard’s stats so it’s fairly likely they’re already tinkering with changing it. We just don’t know the details.

Ruin was buffed. Most killers still crutch on Ruin for easier wins. It's still spammed in almost all games.
2 -
That's EVERY skill check.
Skill checks need to be easier for new players and way, WAY harder for good players.

Why does this ruin argument keep popping up? Please make it stop

They just fixed Dead Hard. Remember when Dead Hard worked only once or twice per game because most of the time it exhausted on the ground...

Alright fine. How about when the devs changed shadowborne because it was too popular? Better excuse?
