Looping question

The more I ping-pong between Killer and Survivor, the more I have questions about things like looping. For example, As a Killer, I can encounter Survivors that just endlessly loop and no matter what, they seem to speed up when going around corners (and I mean visibly speed up). Then I switch back to Survivor to try the same play and it's like, "Okay this isn't possible. Clearly, I'm not grasping something here").

Is there a Survivor perk that just makes you speed up when turning a corner? When I see it happening, it looks very SUS but I can't imagine most of the players in each match are low-key cheating. Just looking to see if anyone can provide insight.

It’s hard to say whether someone is cheating or not without a video.

If we ignore that possibility, then there’s no perk that specifically affects corner-turning, but maybe you aren’t hugging walls as tightly as possible or something. If you could post a video example that might be helpful.

Yeah I'll do that and try to make another post at some point. I'm not the best player on either side but the only advantage I'm aware of is with PC players and being able to swiftly do a 360 maneuver. Still, that shouldn't have anything to do with looping obstacles.

I'll try experimenting with hugging walls a bit more.

High caliber survivors will hug loops and corners with no space in between. Doing that gives the perception that they are faster than you. Unless they have the perk hope, blood pact, or a boon in play then they are not moving any faster than normal (with hacking as an exception of course).

Advice as killer: Hug the loops just as much as them, double back when appropriate, quickly look the opposite direction to give the survivor the idea that you're going to loop in the other direction. Only a handful of loops exist that need to be brute forced and unfortunately you just need to chase until they drop the pallet.

I'm like this as well. People can loop me around the same loop about 4 times, more if there are windows. I try it and only can manage 1 loop, without windows, before the killer gets a hit.

If I try to hug the loops tightly, I always seem to get stuck on the corners. I know myself most are playing efficiently and not cheating but their 4 loops to my 1, and having no idea how they do it, makes me feel as though I will never get better.

Exactly the same with me. I've been playing for over two years and I just can't loop effectively like I have seen others do.

Haha I'm a PSN user. I have the analog sticks and R1. I know things can be more difficult on console (like not healing too close to a pallet) but looping shouldn't be as much of a problem.

Change your controller buttons. I use R3 for vaults and dropping pallets and R1 for healing.

No more dropped pallets accidentally, I used to do it all the time lol.
