Using killer powers by hooked survivors

I've been thinking as of late that maybe it is best for killers not being able to use their powers within a really close proximity to a hooked survivor. With The Artist, she is not able to spawn Dire Crows anywhere near them and has to be a certain distance. I mainly am focusing on Bubba though and their tendencies to stand right in front of the hook, ready to use his chainsaw. If he could use his power only from a little distance, survivors could at least try to make an attempt to unhook.

This. I've never understood this "no powers by the hook" argument for this very reason.

Pyramid Head has his cages teleport away if you are too close to it. Do you know what I see them do? I don't know the exact distance so if the teleport distance is X, he stands X+1 away. If you go for the save, he shoves his knife in the ground and is ready to slap you both as soon as you grab the caged person.

You would need a stupid long distance for this to affect a killer like Bubba...

I personally hate that some killers are arbitrarily locked out from their powers when near hooks. It becomes especially awful and extremely detrimental when you're playing on a map with multiple floors.

I mean, I 100% get where you are coming from. Sitting on a hook sucks. I just wish there was a way to help high struggling Survivors that are losing to get unhooked in such a way that also won't make it impossible for a Killer to secure a kill in the end game.

Yes, how dare doc shock the survivor who's making a completely stupid play, and how dare doc get profit because of it, so terrible

You would not need a "super long distance" for this to be effective. Completely incorrect.

Honestly it depends on the killer's power.

Not every killer needs that kind of restriction, and in some cases it would be too easy for the survivors to use it against them mid-chase. It works for Artist because it only takes away her birds within range but doesn't prevent her from setting them up outside of that 10 meter restriction zone, and survivors can get swarmed through walls. It works for Twins because they're a unique killer who has two characters and it simply prevents them from standing at a hook and switching; it doesn't actually prevent Victor from being used.

There might be some other killers it makes sense for, but by no means should it be a blanket rule.

    How so?

I don't know his exact number but Bubba on one charge can go approx 10 meters and he gets 3 of them. At minimum, he'd need to have a 10 meter radius to not use his power if you want to prevent him from being able to camp with his power.

Or even better, doesn't take all that long to charge so why wouldn't bubba just wait for you to unhook while standing and the hook and then chainsaw you down the millisecond the survivor is unhooked?

This doesn't even factor in things like dumb survivors who loop around the area the hooked person is in. If you make the distance too short, I can just wait it out and chainsaw you down but if you make it too long, I'm now being punished as a killer for no good reason.

This is the survivor main mind at work bois.

"We need something to stop killer from using their power near a hook"

they don't even see what they are saying

Do you understand how crybaby you killer mains are the majority of the time? Hence why 90% of the buffs over the years have gone to killers, and 90% of the nerfs have been towards survivors. get real, kid.

Dude i,m saying that for over 4 years now the main reason why bhvr isnt doing that is bc too many bot killers are existinc bhvr supports bots by any means thats why all one shot killers still can facecamp, i have over 12k hours and thats the one think what is just straight up boring and dumb someone who plays like a baby should never get rewarded just for having a abilty what allows to get free kills

Streamer like gammalunatic a the best example what happens if you just camp 24/7 since day one while playing the strongest thinks on the strongest killer you will get clapped bc of the lack of ,,skill, by any four man bc this ,,strategy,, will only work against solos or bad swfs

And the one on hook gets the boringst experience possible in that game
