Breaks and how it's improved my feeling towards this game.(vent)
I took a break. A very long one, about 4 months. I had spent that time trying new games and hung out with friends. i Came back yester day after hearing of the Legion and Ghostface buff and was very excited to try them out. playing again and getting used to perks I used from long ago made me feel something close to nostalgia, almost as if i had played the game when i first tried it out. the first 2 games were spent on ghost face and the rest were on legion(I'm a sucker for them) when i left the game was getting progressively more toxic and i didn't want to play in that environment anymore. so playing again with Survs not teabagging and clicking at me felt like a waft of fresh air. i havn't had this much fun on DBD in MONTHs, but as i keep playing the feeling is diminishing. there have been multiple survs being toxic over the course of today. i try to be as fair as possible but i can't seem to catch a break.

Take a break? Then I just get further behind in the grind.
But for real, I've taken a few breaks and it's definitely something I'd recommend as well.

Thats actually a valid point. Due to the exponential nature of the grind (especially re: killers) breaks are inherently discouraged due to being extremely counterproductive to keeping up with the growth of the grind. The more behind you are, the less you want to take breaks (this is by design) and so you're more likely to play past the point of burning out. This would be ideal for the devs if not for how bad the burnout can get with this game, and especially with the overall wearyness of the userbase toward what causes them to get burnt out.

Stopped playing several months ago, as I finally realised this game is never going to be fixed or balanced, ever. And Behaviour just doesn't care. It's been a lot of years for me and I find some discussions entertaining which is why I'll lurk the forums every now and then, but at some point even breaks don't help.
I can play 2 or 3 killer matches and I get bored, or play 1 solo queue match and want to uninstall again.
