About map offerings

Why do other players have to impose their map preference on others? I mean, if I cast a map offering, just one, there's a 100% chance the map will show up, it should only be 25% of each offering to the 4 survivors and 50% to the killers because it's 1 player, It's an opinion anyway.

I don't like them either. The only exception is spooky myers.

I liked it better when it was not a 100% chance. Made it spicy

Yeah, map offerings are one of the few things I wish they’d just get rid of entirely, they cause way more issues than whatever benefits they might have.

If maps would be generaly balanced (mostly), map offerings wouldn't be such pain.

    Anyway, they should be removed.

I like the map offering but that because if no one plays one I see I get the same map 4 or 5 games in a row like the swamp which I hate.

I just wish the maps were balanced so the offerings weren't a problem. I get why people want them to be removed but part of me doesn't want to completely kill off mirror myers. Lol.

Map offerings are good to have in the game. The problem is that some maps are just so unbalanced which is where they become an issue. Also it doesn't seem quite fair that all offerings are weighted equally when there's 4 survivors to 1 killer. I think the killers offering should have more weight.

Given how abysmal BHVRs map choosing algorithm seems to be, where I endlessly get Pale Rose or Azaroths resting place, map offerings are a welcome addition for me.

IMO I think the sacrificial ward could use a rework. rather than denying any map add-ons you could choose maybe 3 or 4 maps to prevent from being selected

I think instead of getting rid of brown and yellow offerings they should've gotten rid of brown and green offerings. So you can influence the map but not straight up choose it

This. Map offerings are generally really unhealthy and almost always used to set up an advantage tailored for their team (see: the 4-stack that sends you to Badham, the Nurse who sends you to Midwich, or the sabo squad that sends you to RPD), but spooky Myers is unplayable on a non-indoor map and I'd hate to see him die. He's one of the few genuinely scary things in this game.

...now that I think about it, I'd be okay with really broad map offerings. Like something for a dark map, something for a bright map, something for an outdoor map, something for an indoor map. That way, you can set up certain parameters to work with (so your Blendette and your Ghostface don't end up on Eyrie, or your Huntress is guaranteed an outdoor map), but you can't surgically pick out the most advantageous map for you.

Or we could have balanced map design, but I can recognize a pipe dream when I see it.

The only time I will ever say I like map offerings is when I'm stuck getting the same 1 or 2 maps. Other then that, I would absolutely KILL for map offerings to be removed. They just feel kind of outdated and unnecessary.
