The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

New dead hard idea?

  1. NERF: The "dodge animation" no longer grants invincibility so you can still end up being hit by the killer
  2. CHANGE/NERF: Dead hard now has 3 charges (not unlimited use) (Tier I = 60s, Tier II = 45s, Tier III = 30s cooldown on each charge)
  3. CHANGE: Dead hard will no longer be an exhaustion perk
  4. NERF: Dodge distance/duration very slightly reduced

Scenario: The killer has found you and you're put in the "chase" phase, the killer hits you and you're now in the injured state, it will be like regular dead hard when you can use it whenever, BUT the cooldown of dead hard is paused until you've escaped a chase, then the cooldown will start from 60s/45s/30s, but the cooldown will be paused once you've been found by the killer again (to prevent dead hard being used 3 times in one single chase), so it's up to the survivors to use dead hard strategically throughout the trial with only 3 charges and it is also up to the killer to not lose sight of you to prevent dead hard cooldown to begin

This is just my thoughts, I could be missing some elements to the game/mechanics that I haven't considered, please tell me what you think :)

meh pretty good. the distance should be nerfed and there should be an interaction delay after using it, so you don't immediately vault or drop the pallet

Good, but I don't think it's needed to make it token based or remove the i-frames.

Just make it a tradoff of some sort, such as the Broken or Deep wounds status - and make it Health-conditional to stunt its ubiquitous appeal.

If it makes the user Broken for 60 seconds and require them to be restored to Healthy before using it again... it would make it far more considerable of a drawback and a requirement rather than the 40-second cooldown only settlement we have now, which allows survivors to have quite the capricious approach to its employ.

I think this should be enough.

Most people who know how to use DH properly use it to extent chases for X. These are the problem. Not those who just use it because they heard that's a meta perk.

"3. CHANGE/Buff: Dead hard will no longer be an exhaustion perk" so this will stack with Sprint Burst?

Make it a one time use. Would solve some problems.
