Hidden Freddy nerf
I just recently found out about this and was shocked and upset at the same time..
--Freddy can no longer directly snare the exit gates panel/switch!
Did anyone else notice this change or nerf? It must have been recent because about 2 months ago i was snaring up the switches so if the survivor got to end game and they were in the dream state they were guarunteed to die 100% because they're scream would reveal where they are as soon as they step in the exit gate snare, no more though...
Anyone else know about this?

How close can he get? Like could you feasibly open the exit gate without triggering the trap? If so that's BS

While hag and trapper can place a trap underneath smh.
Just reverse Freddie's base kit nerfs. And change back some of his add-ons. The only problem was forever slowdown

I'd imagine this is a bug, I'd report it over in the appropriate section.

Tell me about it.
You basically have to set all 4 or 5 of your snares around the pannel switch for them not to go around it but the problem with that is it takes too much time, they'll prob be on the other exit gate already while your takin time to do that which makes it a waste..it sucks
I will never understand BHVR's ways of thinking. It actually boggles the mind a little lol

When all gen are done Freddy can't teleport making him the weakest killer on end game and now nerfing the snares someone with a big brain thought yeah this seem balanced.

Sounds like it's the same distance out as being able to place Victor. So no, you have to use all your snares to protect a single switch.

You kidding? Freddy's in a horrible spot. He's pretty weak, has maybe one addon that does anything, and loses his power progressively as the match goes on, to the point where he meets the endgame as a severely watered-down Clown. Losing the ability to be notified when a survivor touches a gate is a big deal, especially when other killers can still do this just fine.

His snare placement might just be bugged, I've noticed it's really hard to place snares in a lot of places at the moment
There was a bit on otz's stream where he was playing freddy on haddonfield and he could barely place snares anywhere

Is Spaghetti code to blame? This is one of the buggiest game ever fix this sloppy mess.

The Freddy nerfs once settled in made us realize that it killed him, he has no power other than teleport.
Even his fake pallets have more use then his snares Currently.

Survivors can use the alarm clocks, making themselves immune to his snares AND keeping them immune for a good while, even if he melees them. Survivors have perks that prevent them from screaming, making snares useless for detection. We also went ahead and stripped away 40% of his max snares for no good reason, just so that he can't have as many up at a time for information purposes."

Good to see the "I've never played killer even once" part of the Balance & Design team is still in full operation. Can't wait for the annual Pig nerf.
