Dc'ing and hatch
Is there anything that prevents a dc for hatch? There should be.
Thats really all. Just a fall back Incase the killer loses that specific kill.

Nope I take it as an ego thing. They can't accept a loss just like a killer can't.

I don't do anything if I'm the last Survivor. I usually have a key and I trail the Killer to hatch, let them close it, and then I escape after they walk away.

The dream strat 😞

If my teammate dcs to try and help me get hatch I won't take it even if I find it first. It's lame.

Don't slug the 3rd survivor for 4 mins and they won't dc. Besides you can't see the hatch anymore so it's all luck who finds it first

Too bad for the dc'd survivor and their loss of points then.

I don't really see it as that much of a problem. I don't like when survivors dc for hatch as killer any more than I like being slugged for a 4k for 4 minutes as survivor. It goes both ways.

Idk a out that one, they'd do it after 30 seconds too.

I've been getting terrible randoms lately. After the 14th match of trying to do gens, unhook, heal, take protection hits, etc. it gets old. Matchmaking has been terrible lately.

Is it any different than the ######### on hook to let the last person try other than one less credited kill?

Yes. DCing is discouraged by the developers and is met with temporary matchmaking bans. You are not supposed to DC from a match.
Suiciding on hook is an in-game mechanic which is completely within the game rules.
2 -
Yes, it is different. If I hook you, you have a in game way to let them get hatch.
If I'm slugging you, you do not have a way to let them have hatch, besides dc'ing.

Except in cases of hatch offerings...

We used to call it "DC Tech" back in my days before the hatch changes. Now, if you DC, is like gambling in a casino. What end up happening is that you ate a 5 min penalty just to watch a 50/50 game of chance. Either the killer find the hatch and get's a 4k that way (Assuming that the gates are really close for the killer to patrol.) Or there survivor finding it first. Now, imagine if someone toss in a hatch offering and the killer slug for a 4k, that person can DC and let the other survivor get hatch for free which is extremely stupid, in my opinion.
Most people won't care about their BPs, in my opinion.
I still say that they should increase the penalty to at least 10 mins, in my opinion. Then again, there are people with bad connection so I doubt that will happen, that and it would be a horrible idea, I think.

Very true, they wouldn't not care about BP

Dcing for hatch isn't really a problem anymore since hatch only spawns when one survivor is left. So they can't find it and have there friend dc.

Well when your slugging for the 4th and don't know where they are. It's more of a problem since obvious reasons

I mean, you kind of found your issue right there. People don't like being left on the ground for several minutes, particularly when their teammate isn't coming to pick them up and the killer shows no signs of hooking them. Or worse, when the teammate does pick them up and it turns into a game of looping pickup tag that drags out the match another ten minutes.
While DCs for hatch are definitely a thing... in this scenario, I would suspect less people are leaving specifically because they want their teammate to find hatch and more because they're going "######### this, get me out of here" because you aren't letting them leave otherwise.

Possibly.

the thing is what happend to me in several games. If only 2 survivors are left, i still try to do gens. However, often the other guy gets slugged for the 4k, and either the killer is camping his corpse (like 2 ghostfaces i encountered) or they are looking for me. If they look for me (and the other survivor was doing gens and not just hidding) i pick them up, and try to do gens again. however, if i dont come for that survivor (because the killer camps him, or he wasn´t doing anything anyway), several times i had it that the killer would pick him up, wiggle free, and the survivor would then lead the killer to me, and is let go for that.
Funny thing though, if i fell for the corpse-camping, the killer would just kill both. If i dont, he lets the other one go to get me. Thats often the case with killers that slug for a 4k, at least on the servers i am playing.
