Toolboxes sometimes do not work when brought into a trial

I've experienced this on Xbox and people on other platforms have as well.
Pretty easy to find it.
1.Bring a toolbox into a trial with you
2.Go to a generator
3.you will see that the "toolbox repair" prompt doesn't appear and even pressing your "use item" doesn't work
Bonus note of interest to those experiencing the glitch: By setting your toolbox down and picking it back up it tends to allow you to use your toolbox again.
