Grades and Pips system

Aaaaah, if there is ONE system you have in place that defies logic and common sense, it is this one.

You admit yourself that the rank is now a personal data rewarding playing time for a period of one month. This is a piece of data that is no longer meant to represent our skill level.

So by the six balls of Cerberus, explain to me why the skills of OTHERS affect MY Rank and MY rewards ? Seriously, in SoloQ (I've never played with anyone, I don't know about SWF), the win/loss ratio of Pips is absurd !

Some examples :

• The KILLER camp/tunnel me from the start and i die : - 1

• The KILLER camp/tunnel me from the start, but I manage to run it for 5 gen : - 1

• The KILLER - always - is not good enough and hooks/hurts no one/almost no one: - 1

• My TEAMMATES are as smart as oysters despite everything I try to carry the game and I die : - 1

• My TEAMMATES are as smart as oysters despite everything I try to carry the game, but I'm lucky to find the hatch : - 1

• My TEAMMATES DC, commit suicide, cooperate with the killer: - 1

• The KILLER is AFK: - 1

• The KILLER cheat: - 1

WHAT WORLD OF SADOMASOCHISM ARE YOU IN TO PENALIZE SOMEONE FOR OTHERS' BEHAVIOR ?!

Your game deserves to go to the AVGN ! Infogrames was more consistent than you !

I've been trying to reach Iridescent Grade I Survivor for almost a month to unlock the achievement and I still haven't got it ! It is divinely unlikely !

Not to mention the MMR scams of course, huh. You always have to put the icing on a big poo.

    Try being killer and get 3k 10 hooks match and get "0 Progress" - no pip.

    Be survivor do a gen, a unhook, a chase and die get 1 pip

    same, I play both surv and killer to red monthly, I honestly believe if they got rid of actually "losing pips" that it would be healthy for the game entirely.

    You would see killers play more variety of killers while still in red grades. Which would give survs a chance to also play against some of the lesser played killers. Right now, once killers hit higher MMR red grades, in order to pip to reach Iri 1 people play Blight/Nurse.

    I know some may disagree, but I think it would be healthy for the game because even me, when I hit a fresh red grade like Iri 3, I play clown and Demo a few matches because I won't be knocked down a grade even if I lose.

    I enjoy playing all the killers, but taper off doing so as the game difficulty increases and I climb rank/grades/MMR.

    I agree that the depip should be removed for both camps. I just leaned more on the survivor side because I had less trouble getting it on the killer side.

    There, I almost ragequit the game. Or rather "fearquit"; I have so much stress from depip and seeing hours of play disappear that I can no longer have fun and start a game. So much DC and suicide...

    I've been playing since launch and have never reached Iridescent Grade I as survivor (I only play solo).

    It's probably one of the most blatant cases of how little the developers actually care. The grind in this game becomes worse and worse with each consecutive killer/survivor added into the game. People have been complaining for a very long and what is the response? They aren't doing anything because one day they'll just solve the grind issue. They could literally remove depipping right now and let people actually get some extra BP for absolutely no drawback whatsoever. It wouldn't even come close to being the end all solution to the problem, but at least they showed they were trying. It's not even shown after matches, there's literally zero reason why it has to be this way. And it only creates more toxicity, because when a killer or a survivor is one pip away from the next grade, they will be less inclined to play nice.

    I like how "rank" is just a rewards system, and they SAY it's just a measure of "how much you've played this season". But if that's the case, why depip? Why not transition to simply "ranking up"?

    I'll admit I don't understand the scoring of the emblem system, especially as a killer. BP offerings talk about "bonus in the deviousness category" but which EMBLEM does it fall under? And why do these emblems matter in ranking up, if Rank is not indicative of slill?

    The whole system needs an overhaul.

    I also not.

    I am Gold 2 right now. You have to play a lot of time or be really good.

    The grades are only time played and no indication of skill is just not true.

    Lol, maybe in grey ranks that will pip you. Triple that in red ranks and you might pip.

    They need to rework the grading system altogether to simply grant bonus BP and score.

    If they do this, and tie it to your SBMM system - this can create an aggregate increase for high performers to boost them higher, while low performers score no bonus bloodpoints on top of their low SBMM in-match performance which will help them settle down at a more reasonable range.

    It's kind of funny, because there are MULTIPLE ways to make the badge system actually work - but none of them are implemented, nor sound like they will be implemented.

    I guess it's because they don't have badges in hockey, but we can only hope.

    I swear on my life that completing 100% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was less difficult than FINALLY obtaining this achievement. Completely in SoloQ. With half of my games starting in 3v1. Right in the heart of the meta camp/tunnel. Almost without using Dead Hard (it's the exhaustion perk I like the least) or Decisive Strike (when I equipped it, the killer didn't tunnel me or he slugged me or the killer grabbed me after the 60s ; so I removed it). Same thought for Unbreakable ; never slugged with this advantage. And I removed Borrowed Time at the end because it didn't help me directly.

    Here is my build when passing Grade Iridescent I :

    Never again will I voluntarily attempt to achieve this Grade if no changes are made. The reward is not worth enduring such suffering. I still prefer to do 10 killer games with BBQ.

    Good luck to those who are still trying to unlock this achievement.

    The only reason we have depipping is to artificially increase playtime. Pretty underhanded from the devs, but we really shouldn't expect anything better from them.
