Killer play without sound
Recently, my ears got hurt by Legion's chase music so I start playing the killer with no sound. It's surprisingly good. Now I'm free from distracting sounds like loud chase music or vaulting windows. It's good that the game is designed well enough to play by people with hearing loss.
My only issue is when I down a survivor I have a hard time finding them. I remember the dbd mobile has a visual indicator to help find downed survivors. I hope the PC version will import that.

As survivor, I'll even play with music on depending on the mood.
I admittedly over-rely on sound as killer. What are your favorite techniques to find survivors without sound?

i never play over 5% volume as surv or killer and my music is always to loud to hear the game its alot more fun that way imo

That's interesting, I typically depend so heavily on sound for mindgames and tracking I couldn't imagine trying to pay without headphones at this point, let alone no sound.
Would you say you have a fair amount of successful games or does that not matter much too you?

At least i am not the only one that got messed up by legions music. There is some tone or something being used that made my ears ring like crazy after playing him.
The game is nice without sound, but shadowstep causes some issues.

You get use to it. Survivors are not hard to figure out when 90% of the tiles have a safe spot that they all stand on.

I'd miss a ton of survivors if I played without sound. Even changing from normal stereo to crappy earbuds really improved my game - so many times I won't see anything, but I'll hear breathing or rustling or footsteps behind me. Not to mention the saved time from knowing if a nearby generator is dead, has progress, or is actively being worked on without having to get the gen in my line of sight.
Also, my eyesight isn't great. I think I could play on Ormond or Eyrie without sound and do fine, but Autohaven or Midwich? Yikes.
