Evil Dead is really good. Been playing the last 10 days or so and it's fun. DBD started to get a bit stale for me recently, but I'll be playing both games. I'll probably focus evil dead until I get bored then back to DBD & just alternate between both.
Survivor is much more fun for me personally in Evil Dead & I'll probably focus on them in Evil Dead as my mains. I still prefer playing killer in DBD over Evil Dead. I've only lvled one demon so far though so need to check out the others.
It's definitely got potential to be a top contender to DBD though, even though the gameplay is very different. If they keep in top of bugs & balance with regular DLC then it could be a game that is very successful.
It also has a pretty solid single player aspect to it that could potentially lead the game into many different modes of gameplay & co-op type objective matches.

Well most of the time i do play other games already tbh, while i played dbd for thousands of hours i dont call it a main game for me. For me DBD had great potential but its not a great game in its current state. There are balancing and quality of life issues that are holding the game back since forever. Its good enough for me to play it for several weeks every 2-3 years to get in touch with the minor progress this game has made in that time but overall im not interested to stay here for a longer while therefore this game has to less to offer. New content doesnt interest me at this point i want to see gameplay changes.
But yeah if there appears another game that fills out what i get from dbd i would be gone in an instant. Therefore i just disagree with philosophy and design choices to much. Theres always a tiny bit of hope but most of my expectations have fallen to dust a long while ago.
For me DBD is basically a bunch of art designers who throw their content into the game which have no idea how to arrange and balance interesting gameplay around it for a longlasting good experience.

It might've been this thread, but I remember someone commenting that DBD is unique because of the variety of Killers and licenses it has.
The risk with Evil Dead is that there won't be enough variety in Demons/abilities, so it'll quickly get stale. Any thoughts on that?

was a great game at the beggining, both for hunters and monsters then it went right downhill

It failed when they tried to balance for High skill gameplay.
In low/mid-low skill lobbies, Level 1 Wraith could spawn camp and end the match in 3 minutes.
Asymmetrical games cannot and never will be competitive games.

The only time I played it after the beta and the launch, it was when it became F2P, when I saw that the trapper lost the unique ability to put up the dome and everyone could do that I felt a little bit sad and closed the game and never came back
