Who is the best user for Hex: Plaything?

Of course you would run this with Artist's Hex perk for totems.

I've seen a few videos say Pig.

It definitely creates a Jigsaw-esque "Make Your Choice" scenario for any Bear Trapped Survivors, as they have to prioritize the Hex or the Trap.

Oh yea I thought to give it a try. It's like 3rd (optional) objective for Survivors :D

I like it with pyramid head. He can torment the totems, thus either the survivors won't cleanse out of fear or they will become tormented and reveal their location the very second they attempt it. Add thrill of the hunt and some other nasty hex like ruin or devour hope, and the game becomes a very interesting totem defense game. Best of all, playthinged survivors won't be able to tell you're close when they attempt a cleanse, because they are oblivious and the sound of them being tormented will hide your sword's noise, so you can actually approach out of LOS and hit them with punishment of the damned.

Stack both "trail duration" addons for extra value and fun. Seriously, it's just so fun.

It's also very entertaining with wraith, because it let's you combine the coxcombed and bone clappers with another powerful addon instead of the mandatory "stealth for 6 seconds after uncloack", letting use crazy combinations like all-seeing or uncloack speed.

Random Question: Does Blindness affect a Playthinged Survivor's ability to see their Totem's aura?

It occurs to me Pig has an addon that inflicts Blindness on trpped Survivors, so now I'm thinking combine that with Ruleset no. 2 (Survivors can't see Jigsaw Boxes until trap is active) and that seems just evil

    Any killer without lullaby.

In addition to a lot of comments above, most of the advice also applies to any other perk or add-on that applies Oblivious or Undetectable. Basically anyone that can capitalize on ambushing survivors who don’t hear them coming benefits from those.

I think it's pretty compatible perk around the board. I've been using it on Onryo with great success and fun.

I want to prephase that imo plaything only works against solos as a swf couldnt care less if the killer had a terror radius or not since they can just call out your position, but I think if you are versing solos prob best user could be oni since getting cheeky hits with him leads to giving him bloodfury.

Myers with the perma T3 addon is nasty with Plaything. I've faced a couple of these and gotten wrecked every time. Any other Myers build with Plaything is highly redundant, though.

I quite like it on Plague. One of her issues is that people get really skittish when you activate Corrupt Purge. Plaything makes aggressive Corrupt plays pretty easy and/or causes survivors to waste a lot of time out of paranoia whenever you're not nearby, and it's common for me to yoink unaware survivors off fountains.

Oni's pretty terrifying with it. It's like Tinkerer Oni on steroids - not only does it let him come roaring in with Blood Fury, but it helps him farm orbs by getting free hits on lost survivors.

Most anyone can get good value out of it, though. The only killers that can't use Plaything well are the ones that have lullabies or are constantly stealthed anyway. Also Hag, because she already has a small TR and sneaking up on people isn't how she wants to start chases.

Yep. You see the totems aura, so that aura can be blocked by blindness.

Funnily enough I'd unironically say Sadako. Manifested Sadako doesn't have a lullaby and so 4x Plaything totems makes her a genuine stealth killer with a map-wide teleport (especially with Sloppy and Iri Tape at her disposal). Not to mention the ability to teleport around the map means she can take advantage of Pentimento, too, and the COH nerf means it's being run less (so instead of 2/3 a match it's only 1 a match, which is substantially easier to deal with).

I run it on bubba all the time. Whether he's the best user for it I'm not sure, but it does work pretty well.

I've also had a lot of success with plaything, pentimento, thana, thrill of the hunt plague. Thana not only is decent on plague by itself for slowing down gens, but in this case it also serves to slow down totems and combined with thrill the totems take forever to do. But plaything is what ties it all together.
