Not the dream world, but a demented version of the normal map, with hanging cages outdoors and blood indoors, all with a rusty tint on the camera (like a Midwich dream world)
It could be a fun callback to the games.
It'd be a lot of work, but maybe maps could even have totally custom versions of the nightmare world with lore tied in.
