Disconnect Penalty Calculations?

Hi everyone, I play Dead by Daylight on PS4, so it's not a surprise that I have some connection issues with the game every now and again, and therefore am forced to DC (against my will). I understand a DC penalty is associated with that and accept it.

I wanted to ask though, how are the DC penalties calculated? I don't know whether or not my account is bugged, but it sure seems like it. My penalty time will jump from 16 minutes to 23 hours sometimes. I understand it's on a 7-day rolling scale, but can someone please explain how they are SUPPOSED to be calculated, so I can know whether I should input a ticket?? The devs said they fixed DC penalty issues in the last release notes, but didn't go into any further details.

I appreciate any insight that anyone can provide.

Thank you!

    Details aren't disclosed on purpose.

File a ticket if you have an issue.

Drsoontm is correct; we do not disclose information regarding the calculations of the DC penalty. The DC penalty goes up in increments, kept short initially (for things such as a stray internet/power outage, irl emergency, etc) but increases the more you DC (regardless of the reason for the DC). Just as the penalty builds up over time, the penalty decays over time, the information regarding that is purposefully not disclosed.

I'm afraid Support does not handle temporary bans such as those from a DC penalty, however, if you feel it is a technical issue with your PS4 or internet connection, we have a Technical Issue section of the Forum that may be of help: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues
