Map offerings.

Member Posts: 364

Map offerings should be changed, 25% per map offering or something similar. its kinda bs 1 person can bring a map offering to force a map when so many of them feel terrible to play on. rng should have more of a pull than an offering. If it where 25% if 4 survivors brought one, bam you get the map. 2 its a 50/50. killers would have a 25% chance sure, but I could care less about forcing a map on killer.

Ok, but it still doesn’t fix the issue of map design. 🤷🏼‍♂️

true but it feels less terrible when i get a ######### map from rng vs being forced over and over

Or, we can actually make the maps balanced so that getting sent to a certain map doesn't make players feel like they lost the match before it even started.

Yea, but how about we balance these offerings now instead of waiting 2+ years for MAYBE having a decent balance map pool overall.

    Just delete map offerings

Map offerings should all have brown versions.

Brown realm offerings exclude that realm from rotation completely. A Brown Haddonfield offering will ensure you never go to Haddonfield.

This trumps all other offerings, because it sets the value to 0.

Green map offerings shouldn't increase the odds of a realm being chosen by 9999% as it does now. Instead, it should simply make a realm 4x more likely to be selected.

This way, green map offerings don't ALWAYS send you to a particular realm, but make it a lot more likely.

The problem is that even if the maps were utopian and perfectly "balanced" (wich will not happen and not be possible due to map singularities), killers and survivors will always take advantage of a pre-game strategy.

I.E: Stealh killers - indoor maps.Sabo squads/boil over - Lage and with high spots

And I agree, just in this case, that yes, a radical attitude here is the best solution. Remove map offerings.
