But to be clear at least from my understanding, unless you have characters P3'd before the progression update rolls out, you WON'T get the new mysterious "distinct reward", AKA the exclusive per character. I know of course you're not a dev but from your understanding what do you think?

It feels like that's the case - you'll get the prestige catchup but not the reward for those already at p3

My only question is with the bots will this mode still require online to access for condole? Like will it be like f13 and evil dead where you can play full bot matches offline or will it be like predator hunting grounds where you still need need an online subscription to access the bot content?

Easy way to test: are you able to access the Custom Game mode without obtaining an online subscription?
For instance on Switch you can't boot the game without one, however this may be different on PS or Xbox

Thanks for the summary. Not really fussed about many of the announcements. I think they're all a bit beige.
I don't mind Moris for final survivors becoming base kit.. but I do think it need to be compensated equally with a buff for the final survivor to have a better chance of getting out. Especially if its now a case of once you're down, you're done.
They say they've been listening to the community but this has been asked for A LOT and it's not an outrageous request imo.

But the last survivor has already the chance of escaping through hatch and if killer closes it the survivor still has the chance to escape through one of the two gates that the killer has to patrol.

As someone who plays exclusively Solo Q and who ends up as the last one a lot, the hatch and the gates are, in my opinion, largely underpowered for final survivors imo. The VAST majority of times I have been the last survivor in a match the killer has found the hatch before me sometimes within about 10-15 seconds of it spawning in. Even if you have a key, once it is closed its hard to find.
Furthermore the gates take too long to open as the sole survivor. I've been playing the game for 4 years and I can legit count the amount of times I've escaped through the doors (when the killer hasn't allowed it) on just about two hands.
I could use the same argument that the killer has a chance to kill the final survivor by hooking them. But the New mori makes it easier for them to do so. Sole survivors should receive something similar... even if its just an adapted left behind so you can see the hatch once closed by the killer just in case you have a key etc.

As far as I know you can't even access the main menu on xbox without a subscription. That's what I'm wondering if they would change that.....I doubt it but I really hope so, cause there's zero reason to block off basically offline bot content by having an online subscription

Well, I've read every single comment in this, i know I'm late, (way way way late) to the party. But I've not seen this subject addressed so, I'm fine to be the one concerned. I love to catch streams of DBD, by anyone. Especially PTB. where as i am a sad console player and can't join in the first-looks of things to come. That said, you do get mixed messeges and missed information. I also watched the Anniversary promo, (and yes i was late, very late, to that very important date) and here's my concern. The Dredge.... when Nightfall dawns onto survivors. Gameplay wise, he IS as Bright as a Halogen Light Bulb in a 6'x6' storage facility. What i been seeing by Streamers in PTB, (as to what has been a mixed message of info on the matter). the quick description spoken about Dredge and his Nightfall in the promo on YouTube, if i recall correctly, says that how the Dredge is in Nightfall. And yet Some Streams very undoubtedly state, its a glitch.
I for one would love a clear clarification on this. And if it is NOT A Glitch.
PLEASE. If anyone cares, turn off the Brights. (Oh and maybe give Nightfall the blindness the same level as Legion gets when coming out of Feral Frenzy to survivors.) I say this as a 60/40 Killer Eccentric.

This is a confirmed bug, thankfully. There were certain parameters set for Nightfall about how far vision should be restricted, and how bright Dredge should be. They were ignored on the PTB and thus Dredge was as bright as my future on opposite day and the darkness did nothing. This should be fixed on the live release.

But then again, Dredge is a master of shadows. Does Dredge necessary need to be any at all whitelight?
And also, could you pass along the suggest of maybe giving Unfrenzy darkness levels blindness during Nightfall to survivors. Would be appreciated 😬

I think the light is only supposed to show up in a chase or within striking distance to make sure that the experience isn't too disconcerting.

Thank God it's not a charm. Honestly, I only use a couple charms. :/ I wouldn't mind a cosmetic, but the prestige cosmetic was kinda boring, just a bloody version of normal. Although I did like Yun's bloody hair. <3

Perhaps I missed some info but I am trying to think of this.....
The new teachable change. Sure this is better for objective-based perk collecting. But is this actually going to make the grind lesser?
I mean, before you needed a character at level 40 to get their perks on the other characters. Now you will need to P3 every single character in the game if you want everyone perks on one character? Is there something im missing? Will it still be 50 levels 3 times? At least you know how to get exactly what you want on this new system. But does this make the grind worse actually?
Also if we can prestige as much as we want. What will be the point of that? I'm assuming there won't be icons to indetify you prestige 100 times or something. Will there be a bonus or something for doing it again and again?

Yes, 50 levels 3 times (P0 50, P1 50, P2 50. P3 can just be level 1 to get the full effect.
It won't really help the initial grind, but it will help in unlocking all perks on a character. You won't need to level each new character more and more, since perks will just be unlocked by default, and if anything it makes the grind easier the further into the game you get.
I wouldn't say it makes it worse. Definitely not. Especially with the change to the Shrine and the fact that you can actually just P1 someone and unlock their perks in the normal way. There's also now no real grind loss to not Prestiging, since you don't lose everything whenever you do so. Say you're levelling someone and you've for David King to P3, you'll just have WGLF permanently unlocked on them at T3, which will actually help quite a bit imo. Same with BBQ.
It's not flawless. But it's also not terrible. It'll help veteran players a lot, though I'm unsure of the new player grind I don't think it can make it worse.

and will the prestige award only be for those at p3 or do the lesser ones count. I've ben trying to figure if its worth finishing getting my characters to p3. Kinda wish they would tell us the award so I can know if its worth it.
Also if its not cosmetic. It's gotta be shards or BP them im assuming.

Unlikely it'll be anniversary else it'd be within the 6.0.0 patch. It'll probably be the Midchapter afterwards if all goes to plan

I didn’t even know flans were a thing until the 6th anniversary. It’s amazing how people took dismembered body parts to make a dessert. I should try it some day.

I just made a bloodred flan today. It was fingerlicking good. I used grandmas ol' cookbook and that recipe stood the test of time surprisingly well.
