A perk that'll allow you see trapper's traps?
Of course not everyone that would be broken, but a perk that would allow for you to see the nearest trap to where you are. Even give it a cooldown. I feel like every other killer is somewhat counterable (Except Huntress cuz hitbox on those hatchets be a big F). Of course I do have the handicap of being partially blind so this is also somewhat me feeling extremely sorry for myself for not being able to avoid the traps. So I'm just wondering if this is somethat that's been considered. I hardly believe the only counter (other than being in a VC with a swf) is to crouch around the entire map and hope the "Disarm trap" procs before you step in it. I believe Hag's trap are counterable with a flashlight. Same with Artist birbs.

It'd be kind of bad to have a perk that specifically countered one killer - that'd be a waste of a perk against everyone else. You can't know if you're going to verse a Trapper that match.
Small Game used to behave like this, among providing other general-purpose features, but the feature was removed in order to balance it equally against different killers. Currently, if you bring a map that can see killer belongings (rainbow or green with red string), you can see traps. Otherwise, rule of thumb is to avoid tall grass vs Trapper, move carefully when you're not being chased, and keep in mind popular spots to place traps - examples being shack window, TL windows, and at pallets.

Spirit would like to have a word with you regarding Iron Will lol

You do realise that this would kill any lethality Trapper has left, yeah?
9 -
Yeah. Thing is, Iron Will is fantastic versus every killer who isn't Plague, so it's worth running in general and it's just a lucky bonus if your opponent turns out to be Spirit. If it was only good versus Spirit, you wouldn't see it. Granted, I'm not arguing that Spirit could use some help against this perk and it affects her overmuch. The Stridor change was not a good thing; all it did was kill the only functionality that perk even had.
Meanwhile, Calm Spirit counters Doctor pretty well, but its other effect has no real application, so you only see the perk on baby Jakes. The point I was trying to make is that perks that are designed to counter a single killer are inherently pretty doomed.
For the OP's purposes, I wonder if Clairvoyance sees traps?

tbf, Iron Will is almost certainly getting a nerf with the upcoming 40 perk changes and if it's no longer a permanent 100% while injured then it'll be much fairer to face.
Self Preservation and Off the Record also both reduce injured sounds by 100% and you don't see people complaining about those perks hard countering spirit.
Also Bite the Bullet also removes healing sounds as well as injured sounds while healing too.

Because in the case of the other two their activation requirements require something to happen other than being injured and have a time limit.
Self preservation only works for 10 seconds max and only if another survivor goes down within 16 meters of you.
Off the record lasts for 100 seconds max but only after unhook. Either way IW is better because it doesn’t require ango

you missed the point.
If Iron Will gets nerfed so it's not 100% sound reduction which likely it will be with the upcoming perk adjustments, then it should no longer be a hard counter for spirit.

Advice? Use your eyes.

A lot of killers would like a word.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that was small game did when the game launched before totems existed
0 -
Yeah and then totems were added to it later and it tracked both. Then last year they removed traps from it.

Theres an item called a map, you may have seen them in your bloodweb

Eye* Thank you very much for the usefull tip and showing you actually read more than the title :)
I'm aware of the map, although I admit to now knowing it would show trappers traps with add-ons. That never occured to me, hence why I'd basically only use maps provided that a certain challenge would require it of me.
Exactly! I liked small game when it did that. I was just curious as to the community's thought about it.

Wow, lets inflict a major nerf on one of the weakest killers in the game. Yeah, that's a good idea.

Probably cause Self Preservation and off the record are garbage

sorry, can't see through walls. Or when using Spirit ability

Nah, if you can see hag traps before stepping in them, you can see beartraps even better before you step in them.
