Boons and Scourge hooks

First i would say that though boons and scourge hooks are hot topic those perks are fun and still relatively new mechanic. Both rewards players for doing their objective. Both might not be as good when spawns are unlucky. But overall I would say those perks are fine. Starting with boons, shadowstep is very fun and strong as well, circle of healing at current state is not as effective and i hope that with new antiboon perk they will bring back old COH. Unbreakable boons is also very strong and reduces unhealthy gameplay yet can be abused at some points. Dark theory is underwhelming but let's be honest movement speed boon is not good idea and increasing numbers might lead to slow killers won't be able to catch survivors but again with new antiboon perks might be ok and bring some competion around totems than just holding w and hold m1 at gens. Scourge hooks also brought new mechanic to the game and would say quite fun yet spawn might lead to not being able to use SH perks at all. Gift of pain with new hemmorage is not that bad yet not very good too. Floods of rage is nice information perk and pain resonance is a little from all. Little regression, little information. Sad we see pain resonance mostly, bad that's mostly because other scourges are quite weaker. However still are healthy perk rewarding killers for playing well. If killer camps, don't have that much use of it against smart or casual survivors. However as I said spawns are not best sometimes. Shame we haven't recevied new SH perk as we now have superboon we don't have superscourge. Maybe run out of ideas? Want to share some cool ideas of boons and sh. Please keep in mind we will have antiboon perk and scourge hooks spawns determinate the impact of those perks to the trial.


Boon ideas. Will only write effects, we all know you need to bless first to have 24m radius effect.

1) Standing within boon area shows all survivors aura.

2) Within boon area all survivors are able to see killer's aura for 6s when performing damage action.

3) Withing boon range survivors are able to reset pallets.

4) Within boon are, crouching and walking is 50 % faster.

5) Survivors are able to instantly heal survivors in trade of loosing healthstate.

6) Survivors vault 12 % faster and windows are not blocked by the entity.

7) Within boon range survivors are able to press e to receive basic flashlight/flashbang once per totem per trial.

8) Within boon survivors are recovering 10 % faster from exhaustion and their exhasution is not paused when running.

9) If killer snuffs totem, is stunned for 4s.

10) If killer snuffs totem suffers from 5 % hindrance for 20s.

11) If the killer snuffs totem his aura is revealed for 10s.

12) Within boon range scratch marks intensity is reverted - means the closer to you the more tiny scratches are, the further from you the brighter they are.

Keep in mind you'll be able to get rid of totems as killer.


SH ideas.

1) Hooking unique survivor gives a token. Each token blocks exit for 5s once opened.

2) Unhooking from scourge hook injures rescuer, if injured inflicts deep wound.

3) Hooking on SH shows intensity of gen progress per 30s.

4) Hooking a unique survivor gives a token. Each token increase breaking, vaulting and pick up speed by 5 %.

5) Hooking a survivor on a scourge hooks makes survivor that is most far away to scream and suffer from exposed for 45s.

6) Hooking survivor on scourge hook increase your speed by 10 %, this effect is removed once you are stunned by any means.

7) Hooking survivor on SH gives you undetectable for 40s.

8) Hooking survivor on scourge hooks resets all cooldowns.

9) When the rescuer saves survivor from scourge hooks receives a 7 % hindrance penalty untill injured.

    Would not say. Killer will have tool to permanently get rid of boons and killer must use scourge hooks to get its effect as well in higher mmr downing survivor is not that frequent as in low mmr.

    For those boons, 6 and 8 are completely broken and 9 is just bad design. I like 3 and 4 though.

    Also Shattered Hope is a bandaid fix perk and should not be viewed as proper counterplay. Killer shouldn’t need a perk to address a poorly designed gameplay mechanic.
