Any plans for adding in-match compensation for DC abuse?
Currently, Survivors will commonly abuse DC for denying killers the activation of Blood Warden and/or Scourge Hook Perks. I've had this occur numerous times, and I've had many matches where the Pain Resonance would've actually led to a 4k if the regression would've occurred, but due to the DC, they were able to get an exit gate open. I apologize if I sound petty, but me losing those MMR points because someone is allowed to abuse the DC system is should not be okay in any regards.
My idea, if they DC'd while downed and/or being carried, their aura is revealed to the killer, and the body remains until hooked, at which point, triggers whatever effects it should, and is then removed from the match. The body only lasts for a short duration, so it can't be abused (aka, long enough for the killer to walk over and pick them up if on the ground.) If their health state would be recovered by healing or flashlight/pallet save, the body vanishes.

Yeah they dc to give hatch sometimes or to deny us perks but it happens so rarely that i cant find it in me to care.
Did i lose a game to this before? Sure, but who cares about some magical mmr number that i cant even see.
Who cares if they resort to dcing to deny me kilis. Its a silly tag game. The end result affects my life not at all

It's very annoying if it involves adepts or certain challenges tho

They really should remove -1 pip beause at high MMR, playing aggressive you get lots of DCs and makes pipping more difficult.
no more depipping, its 2022.

The simple solution is make DC's count as kills for adepts etc.

They already do count as kills, but not hooks.
I think the DC penalty in general is all that’s needed. Know that they are enjoying their ban.
I think it’s often a huge assumption that they are DCing to prevent a perk from working. May genuinely be a ragequit.
Losing the progress from an extra survivor means more than any one perk.

No, they do not. I was on a kill challenge as AFK Pig and two of them DC'd before the headpop. I only got credit for the one that stayed and let themselves die and the last player, who died on hook.
Nah, I want my kill. I could care less if they are sitting there for 5 minutes. I stop thinking about them long before that.

They do count as kills on the emblem scoring system. We were talking about ‘kills for adepts.’
I agree with how disconnects shouldn’t count as kills for challenges. Meme on, brudhha.

No, he was talking about kills for challenges. He just stated adepts specifically, presumably because that is where DCs are the most frustrating, and then "etc" was supposed to stand in for the rest. I feel bleedouts should count as well. Kill by "any means" implies as long as they die. And also DC counts as a kill for challenges if they do it on hook, as a weird exception.
The whole system is just inconsistent.

You should take a moment. Eat some yummy fruit salad. Come back energized and focused. And read this quote:

I'm not assuming the motivation of DC'ing, it doesn't really matter.
If they make a DC just count as a full 3 hook kill for anything that requires a full 3 hook kill then the value of DC'ing for denying that vanishes. Be it adepts, challenges, whatever.
Feel free to pick and choose the level of application for what it counts for, (i.e. adepts but not challenges etc) the point is it shouldn't be possible to deny these in game things simply by DC'ing if that is the intent.

DCs should count as a kill/hook for challenge purposes IMO.

The only thing I have against this is that dcing to give someone hatch kinda needs to be a thing right now. The hatch changes made it so almost every killer slugs now and hatch is a bone factor and it also made the perk left behind useless. If hatch is reverted then sure if not then I say keep dcing to give hatch in the game

I 100% agree with the suggestion that if a person DCs while downed or carried, their body should remain for the killer to hook. If that's too complicated, have all of the killer's hook related perks fire immediately upon a downed/carried survivor disconnecting. Ideally, disconnecting would also cause the hatch to spawn on a delay and count as a sacrifice for killers - and for survivors, disconnecting killers should successfully count as escapes for tome challenges and adepts. You should not be able to penalize the other team by 'strategic' or spite disconnecting.
