Why were Wraith's old expressive animations replaced with dull ones?

If you look back on old Wraith gameplay from ~2017, you'll notice that his first person animations had much more character to them. His strides would move his weapon dramatically, and it was slightly tilted to more accurately match his third person animations. I don't know when specifically this was changed, but it was a while ago and yet has never been addressed.
Doctor's old animations were also slightly different, though whether they were better or worse is subjective.
