If jflicks are cheating and patched, why aren't oni 180 the same case?
I'm a tired most PC onis I find are all comp sweaty players with this ridiculous DPI changer hotkey which allows them to briefly change their DPI astronomically high to make turns that shouldn't actually be possible without this tool, making it blatant cheating.
Here's an example of the lattest I versed so you see what I meant, me and my friend were unable to do anything unless he did something dumb, even our dead hards were useless and he can use this tool to bypass it, dude had also the audacity to make fun of us in post game chat and told us to sub to his cringe youtube channel with compilations showing how he does this cheat.
And if you don't see it clear or doubt still, just watch the first 10 seconds of his video, where he aims at the shack door but faster than letting you blink your eyes he turns in 180 to the window and get the down anyways. This method works to get a hit anyways even if you miss because he can still turn to you spinning like sonic.
Edit: clarifying, this next clip is from this same killer’s youtube channel, flexing his high DPI config downs in a compilation.

Watched the first one, the 2nd swing he did was a Normal swing, not a dpi swing,
I can do that without using a dpi flick since you can position the camera to look right while going wide left to make the corner https://clips.twitch.tv/DarkTalentedRaisinPermaSmug-reN08fW8D66byTsH Like so.
the turn at the start is the swing is fast, but with dpi you just quickly turn without looking like you turned at all,
However even then, it's mainly a visual on how quick he turned, it's also down to mainly flicks,

Lmao that second video is honestly just confusing. It goes so fast that he literally turns 180 degree within one single frame or so. It looks so weird.
That's indeed ridiculous. I hope the devs can do something about that.
14 -
Yeah the 180 flicks are unfair. That’s the only thing about Oni that shouldn’t be a thing.
6 -
Survivors complaining about oni now. XDDDDDDDDD
They won't be satisfied until the killers can only auto attack.
7 -
Should the DPI hotkey thing go away? Absolutely.
However it should be noted that you can perform 180 Oni flicks without modifying your DPI or even in-game sensitivity. What this guy does is simply make it so he can do this in a single frame, which goes without saying is not fair (took a little to see but he does instantly face the window in the second clip you provided). Normally, 180 flicks take some time for Oni to spin around, meaning you can kind of play around them. Just so you know the difference.
I'm honestly undecided on if they should stay in the game or not because survivors Dead Harding through Oni while dashing can be quite annoying.

It's a little hard to see but he does in fact turn within a single frame in the second clip. You can see that he's facing the wall but after he looks up he's instantly facing the window
1 -
Like i said, even with no dpi you can do that if you flick the mouse hard enough,
...If you have space on your mousepad that is

Faced an Oni like this recently and it was ridiculous. Everybody was dropping like flies.
Doesn't Oni (similar to Blight) have a hard cap with this sensitivity or something? I'm on console so I wouldn't be able to pull off these antics.
2 -
No way I can do that with my controller, even with max sensitivity on my Xbox. The camera does not turn that fast on console.
1 -
huh
6 -
Yes, but you cannot do it within one singular frame.
1 -
Yeah now oni
Next will be huntress
Cant wait to see a game where there are only sadako like killers, that will be fun
0 -
If this isn’t something you can do on console then it’s certainly not an intended mechanic.
I may want to stop trying to learn it then lol
1 -
I think both flicks take skill. And they both have counterplay. I'm not gonna be one of - those - blight players and defend j-flicks to the grave. But Oni flicks are fair.

I am complaining about a killer running a third-party app for unfair advantage (aka cheating), yes
2 -
Changing your DPI isn't cheating.
1 -
it is when you do it at astronomical levels and change it instantly with a hotkey in your keyboard running a script that makes it last the duration of the swing, you cant do this in console
6 -
What is 'astronomical levels? You can also do it on console. Buy a XIM lol.
0 -
by the same logic I can buy a trainer that lets my character run at 1000% speed
0 -
So having a Mouse that can Change your Dpi is considered Cheating..
So is having sensitivity cheating in general for Every Game to you?
2 -
Not even remotely the same.
One is a mouse doing what its supposed to do, the other is a hack modifying the games memory.
0 -
sensivity settings aint the same as having an app on PC that lets you change your dpi to force a mechanic for free
1 -
An app is not required, the functionality is built into gaming mice that do this. The app is simply a GUI to change the mouse's settings. If you buy a g502 and do not download logitech G HUB it has a DPI switch going up to 25000 by default.
1 -
For clarity, is your post referencing the third party app or 180 flicks in general?
0 -
you can oni flick without changing your dpi. The issue lies with the mechanic imbalance between a mouse and a joystick.
2 -
The app, it’s a cheating forcement exploit
1 -
I might be mistaken, but last I heard that $250 usd device only allows PlayStations to play this game with a M&K, not Xbox's like mine.
0 -
Thanks for clearing that up. I agree.
0 -
it works on xbox too. Played a lotta r6 on console, and ran into my fair share of MnKers there.
0 -
Yea they should fix the bugs with Oni and Blights rushes. They both have very generous hitboxes and an intended turn rate cap. Anything that circumvents the turning cap should be fixed.
4 -
Those weren't 180.
180 is possible but it's mostly useless thing and almost impossible to use in normal game, because if you go for it then you can end up turning more than you need it. It's hard af to do.
I can get all of those with normal 1600 DPI. I don't know about console tho, but that seems like a console issue again.
0 -
Console and Pcs are Supposed to be different, not to be the same damn thing,
gotta stop thinking every killer tech is a new "Exploit" just because it helps him,
Without that flick, he'd be lower than billy 100%
2 -
So a killer that is agreed to be one of the most balanced in the game, who is EXTREMELY hard to play well and is a very VERY rare killer to face even more so a good one just so happened to clap your cheeks with something YOU thing is bs so you instantly come to the forums crying to nerf a killer who is barely top 5? Bruh you know it's okay to lose right? You know that every time you lose it isn't for some bs reason and you did just in fact get outplayed. Did it look goofy? Absolutely, was it unfair and overpowered? Not in the slightest.
1 -
Yes I know it works on Xbox with most games, but I seem to remember something still "unsupported" when it came only to DBD. It was like the buttons worked but you could not move or rebind anything. I'll have to comb through old links for it.
0 -
i doubt the devs even know about this
1 -
I am complaining about a third party app not a killer thanks for reading my post before commenting
0 -
Oh no! Anyway, noone plays Oni so it doesnt really matter much. And if it does, its not really a priority to fix at all
0 -
he makes turning all the way looking to the back and not a 90º degrees chsnge yet again I dont care about this my complain is the app doing it automatically for him.
Point to highlight the 3.4.1 patch on pc applied a 90º cap because console couldn’t get to the same level change which devs considered more fair to keep
0 -
This is not cheating.
This third party software doesn't alter the game / game files.
If your definition is just third party app then discord is cheating. Also nvidia filters, keyboard / mouse apps in general.
I am free to alter my equipment as much as I want, don't be jealous just because console can't do it.
0 -
As far as I know you can do it without changing dpi, I think otz even made a video about it. It's pretty hard to pull off so I don't get what the big deal is.
1 -
It reminds me, maybe at the same time survivors able to turn faster they can move (basically looking like a dead-hard) should be fixed too.
Exploiting the broken camera angle gets old sometimes.
3 -
Anything that allows you to perform flicks you aren’t meant to via third party is cheating and shouldn’t be a thing.
2 -
Again, Did you not clearly listen to the post?
Quite literally there is only one way to change your sensitivity in-game, but that sucks altogether,
and TECHNICALLY it's not cheating to even have a mouse with "Built-In-Sensitivity Changer" Otherwise it'd be a illegal item to buy off shelves,
Which is what i currently have as a mouse, a Logitech G502 Hero, which can change Sensitivity on a dime of a button, can even lower it too so i can control it,
1 -
those would be indeed cheating but they are actually whitelisted in the eula, case which isn't for these scripts
0 -
there's also a script out there to automatically hit great wiggle skillchecks which I found recently, both things pull great plays unfairly and should be patched as is not requiring effort by the player
1 -
Onis dpi flick doesn't even require high dpi you just flick and maybe use q and e turning at the same time
0 -
this is not done by script really, you just have a button on your mouse that increase your DPI as long you hold it. Basically same princip as any other button.
You are acting like it's complex macro that is doing all work, but that's just not true. That person just increased his DPI to maximum so he doesn't have to move with his hand that much (I can do it even with lower DPI, but it's too much work). Then the trick is about camera angle.
