Nemesis should get a buff?

Petforces
Petforces Member Posts: 42

Should he receive a buff? There are several things that could be buffed about him, ill include a small list that could help him. Obviously im not suggesting all of these, just some ideas that they could do.

  1. Supply chests take 4 seconds to open, make them equal to normal chests at 10 seconds.
  2. Buff add ons (his are bad) like one that adds another zombie. Or using a vaccine injures you if your healthy
  3. Make the wristbands base kit, to help the zombies actually do stuff/not be as useless
  4. Killing a survivor spawns an extra zombie
  5. Increase mutation rate

You could give him all that and he'd still need more. Also, 4 would never happen, they already said they can't add more zombies.

Other than number 4 give all those and:

    1. Zombies move 50% faster at base
    2. Infection application hits don't give a speed boost
    3. Zombies move 25% faster per survivor currently infected
    4. At max mutation zombies get significantly improved detection range and radius.

It would be amazing if the zombies were better and didn't walk into walls/trees. Perhaps had a bit more range when attacking a survivor.

Other than that I think he's pretty great! I love combining the Depleted Ink Ribbon and T-virus sample add-ons. As soon as they spawn I just hit the two zombies and then just one survivor and then it's just game on 😈

I'd say he needs more quality of life changes rather than straight out buffs.

    • Zeds moving at a more useful speed and more distance.
    • A way to respawn zeds when they're stuck or in a bad spot without walkin all the way to where they're stuck where there are no objectives or survivors for you to bother with.
    • Max mutation should give zeds a benefit.

    • since they're hell bent on making his tentacle not be as good anymore at least make the zeds more useful.

I really like the idea, that the Zombies get better based on mutation rate. And also, The mutation hit not giving a speed boost would be HUGE!

The zombie AI needs to be fixed and some useless add ons like the STARS combat manual need to be reworked, but otherwise he is fine. Not the best but not bad either

His zombies should be better and his add ons need changes. But other than that he is fine. Well maybe he should have rocket launcher...

II think that creating a wider whip at the source to prevent FOV-tacs and making zombies un-stuck themselves would be more than enough to keep him competitive.

Making Crates/Vaccines take a second or two longer may be nice, but it's already a very strong ability in his favor. it would be a cherry on top, but too much cherry can spoil the sundae.

The add-on changes are absolutely true. There are bundles of items that buff zombie movement speed, but they are effectively useless. Licker Tongue is also a monumental disappointment. Making the items more interesting would be awesome opossum.

IMO they also have him teetering between two design philosophies that he shouldn't really fall between.

They could either make his power more consistent, extending its range at rank 1 and causing it to have reduced cooldown at rank 3 - make him feel a bit more consistent and powerful with only minor buffs each tier.

Or they could make his tier 3 much stronger with a bit weaker tier 1 to compensate, less consistent - but plays into the Nemesis style of starting at a disadvantage and ending matches as a chase ending powerhouse.

Adding a very minuscule AOE to the very tip of his whip is a personal favorite idea of mine, but it might be broken in execution - I'd love to see it in testing, though.

I recently saw a suggestion to buff his tentacle in Tier 3 that I really liked. Basically, you would be able to use it to preform most actions, like breaking generators, snuffing boons, closing hatch, etc.

Oh, and also fix his zombie AI, because right now it's terrible.

He could be buffed a lot, all of the killers except blight and nurse need a buff or QoL change. There needs to be less ways ti get the vaccine and some addons need to be basekit (the useless ones and the iridescent bad ones, like most killers); if possible, make the previous mutation rate with marvin blood basekit. His tentacle also need a better hitbox and slow him less.

Zombies are thematic but should be completely removed to give Nemesis space to have his base kit buffed. You can't buff Nemesis whilst his free AI pressure exists. Any buff to Nemesis is magnified by the zombies applying inconsistent but overall strong pressure. Pig was the same way with her add-ons and RNG RBT's inflating her kill rate.

Edit: remove zombies and Nemesis can be comfortablely buffed. Otherwise, enjoy your anti-loop killer plagued by RNG AI.

Zombies should never get stuck - but if they are stuck for 5 second they should instantly respawn.

You should not be able to duck the whip - sorry this is dumb. Or if you are allowed to duck the whip then Nemesis should be full speed when he has the whip engaged at T3 (which would make T2 at least full survivor speed if not faster).

Only infection when not previously infected should give a speed boost with the whip.

Zombies should give you infection increases as if you whipped a player.

There should probably be a 2% debuff when you are "blue" to all actions and you have a 1% move speed penalty. That would encourage its removal - which generally does not happen right now.

    Improve zombie AI

Make licker's tongue basekit to at least reduce a bit of the distance survivors gain on the first tentacle hit.

Give his add-ons an overhaul, since so many of them are terrible, specially Iridescent Umbrella Badge.

I am mostly fine with Nemesis. I do like to play against and as him. He requires a bit of game knowedgle and experience (seriously, some tentacle smacks other people do and I am simply not good enough to do myself are crazy).

The only thing I would like to see is HIM WORKING AS INTENDED. Very, very often tentacle connects with a pallet, but game does not register it as such and you just waste time... Zombies are zombies, they are supposed to be random and funny. Just fix the breaking stuff issue and I think he is fine.

PS: Also actually making the 'on infection hindered' last longer would make sense. It's not on all tentacle hits, just on the one that actually infects. Right now it literally does nothing... it just takes space in the code and occupies useless addon. Most of you didn't even know that survivor gets slightly slowed down for fraction of a second when infected - I am fairly sure of it. Make it last full second and double it with addon.

1 - Make more zombies spawn depending on the map. Two zombies is fine on a small map like The Game but on Mother's Dwelling it becomes a useless mechanic.

2 - Make it so that survivors do not get a speed boost after getting infected.

These two changes would make Nemesis much better than he is today.

I say he’s fine but I do think his zombie pathing could use a little work. Other than that his zombie give him good tracking and once he charges up his whip he’s a pallet shredder in chase.

Marvin's blood nerf was unnecessary, and the killer needed that addon. So making the old version of it base kit would make the killer more appealing, and reworking Marvin's Blood to give It other effect.

No speed boost when first infecting a survivor, rework or buff his terrible add-ons, and make the zombie pathing not atrocious and I think he'd be in a pretty solid spot.
