endgame chat german censoring
so I came to the conclussion that alot of german words that are completely harmless are censored for no reason, my only though was that those exact words might mean something different in another language, but then I noticed someone calling me a Nazi in the endgame chat which is NOT censored, but stuff like "jap; gleichen; art; warum; " and more is censored for no reason!
(jap = different way to say "yeah")
(gleichen = same)
(art = kind (as in "the same kind"))
(warum = why)
if stuff like that is censored for a reason I wouldnt mind knowing why, but please, can you also censor the word nazi? because that word isnt harmless!

All true. The censoring in post-game-chat is the wildest of things. The only conclusion that I came up with: smack- and trashtalk is important to the esports and online gaming experience (as BHVR have stated in the past), so a lot of swear words are left in. But a lot of clutter, and especially all player and character names etc. are censored, as an indepth talk might inspire a far too competitive streak in our casual party-horror-game, and we can't have that.
So, normal, casual conversation about the game = big NO
toxic trashtalk and throwing slurs = yes.
See? Its not that hard.

Most of the character's names are censored. The word "phone" is censored. It's not a German thing, it's just the ridiculous filter system they implemented. It's particularly vexing when you go say something completely friendly and innocuous but then a key word in censored for whatever reason and it makes it sound like you're cussing somebody out instead.
