Why is the Dredge able to grab survivors who are locking a locker?
This doesn't even make sense on a fundamental level. You aren't entering the locker, why are you being grabbed?
This has actually happened to me twice now so I'm just going to not ever lock lockers if it gives me no way of knowing when he's teleporting around. To me it seems like a huge punishment for trying to use what the game gives you to slow him down.

that sounds so utterly situational idk why you care

You know, thematically I think it's fun, and kind of creepy. But balance wise I am not sure how much I like it. It only happens very rarely, but when it happens, it can just shift the momentum of a match with literally no player skill involved.
I also have seen someone use it to a nice effect together with his new locker perk, which I also thought seemed a bit busted.
In general it shouldn't discourage you to lock lockers though, because the likeliness for that to happen is generally very low.

Because the Dredge is capable of opening the locker himself and grabbing the survivor trying to interact with it.

it's really unlikely this ever happens unless you are:
A) being greedy mid chase
B) locking every locker you see
The Dredge can't teleport instantly so just lock what is necessary and if you are that worried about it then lock when carrying a survivor

I did it once as Dredge, on swamp no less. Very funny to do because you drag the survivor into the locker so you can educate them about our lord and savior Dwight Fairfield.

I don’t really see any point in locking a locker that’s time you could be doing a generator.

I didnt know this was a thing until earlier today. Was doin a gen with a Dwight, he went over to lock one, and BOOM! Scared the hell outta me. It was kinda awesome.
(Dwight was ok....but probly scarred for life. Maybe the entity should snag a shrink.)

Dwight should be allowed to grab you if he's in that locker.

The blasphemy against the one and only true lord, Lightborn!!! 😜

Because it is his Design he make Lockers as a scary and deatly Place so if u interact whit a Locker when a Dredge is Insider or teleport At the Moment u try to locking it he Grabs you
Also its very rare this is going to happend

Wonder if you get grabbed using deception on a locker he's in or mid teleport too.

Why can we lock every locker tho?😁

Because interacting with lockers at all is supposed to be risky. If he couldn’t grab survivors who were locking lockers he would almost never get a locker grab because people do not hide in lockers when they realize they are facing dredge.

Dredge automatically attacks anyone who tries to interact with the locker it resides in. IMO that concept makes a lot of sense.
If you want to slow it down, you have to lock the lockers prematurely before it "claims" the locker for itself.

When I first started playing Dredge, I got the majority of my grabs from survivors locking lockers mid chase. One of them was a bill that locked them while looping me around shack which I thought was hilarious lol. Survivors should be punished for getting greedy and locking mid chase IMO, and its pretty rare that you can get a grab that way anyway. Just make sure you lock BEFORE you get chased and you should be fine most of the time
