Zero Hooks in the Middle of Midwich!?
I was stunned when I saw that there were no hooks nearby in the courtyard of Midwich. At first, 1 survivor escaped my clutch when I went looking for a nearby hook, but right after I caught another survivor in the courtyard, I was forced to slug just because I couldn't find any close hooks. It was crazy. I haven't killed any survivors there in the first place. I have other photos that would really show there aren't any hooks inside the courtyard.
There is a hook on the left, but that's inside the halls of Midwich facing away from the courtyard.

Yeah, midwich is really bad with hook spawns sometimes. Because of the 2 floor layout, the game will think there are enough hooks in an area, but no there's hooks on the opposite floor and not the one you want. It can get especially bad if you kill a survivor and now the hook is gone forever.

That is weird and unbalanced hopefully just a oversight and easy quick fix.

The Game map has a similar issue with one of the hook configurations requiring a wall on the lower level to be broken to get a hook. Not to mention the side school wall that has to be broken in Springwood if the basement is not in the school lower level. Super fun gameplay!

Some of these indoor maps need a few guaranteed hook spawns. It's also super outdated and unfun that hooks never respawn after someone dies on them, just means you straight up can't hook any survs from certain spots, ever, which is just terrible design. Just have them respawn after 30 seconds and this wouldn't be a problem.

DbD doesn't deal well with verticality at all. RPD sometimes is a complete nightmare because there's a hook right above/below you, but the closest reachable one is far beyond wiggle timer.
If the basement is on the shack at Springwood, the school is a complete dead zone. Not a single hook inside means a single bodyblock is all it takes to make it impossible to hook someone who was downed on the middle of the school underground. I'm kinda baffled as to how this got past the game test phase. There should be at least 1 hook on the underground section when basement is not there, the same way that shack spawns a hook on a corner when not housing basement.
Just had a match where I got to down everyone in the same zone of the map. Hooked 2 and had to slug the other 2 until the hooked were dead, or else they'd wiggle away, unhook and recover the match. Being slugged isn't fun, and when game design forces the killer to slug, it's just eh.

Many survivors have bled to death because of the hook distribution on Midwich.

i'm pretty sure midwich hook spawns have been bugged for a few months now because it definitely wasn't as bad until fairly recently

I would say they have been bugged for almost a year, especially the upper floor, sometimes there isnt a single hook in an entire wing, if you down someone in one of the classrooms its impossible to reach a hook no matter which direction you take.

I had a midwich the other day that only had 1 hook on the entire upper floor. Once the survivors realized it they ran every chase to spots with no easy way down. 3 of the 4 kills were bleed outs.
Sadly, the empty courtyard thing seems to be happening more often.

Entire hallways are barren because the hook above counts for some stupid reason. I have lost game purely because i could not hook people on this map.

This is where missing hooks from Midwich go. They were at Coldwind all along!

Gotta chime in as well that there are too few hooks on midwich. If you use even a single one, half of whichever floor you're on becomes an unhookable zone.

Yeah ive noticed that the hallway on the right of the basement entrance doesn't have a single hook if a hook happens to spawn in the middle
