it actually happened
i went against a toxic streamer! he had merciless storm, bamboozle, pain res and pop goes the weasel on his billy. not gonna lie everyone who runs bamboozle is annoying buuuuut, this guy sets himself up for a win and demolishes two of my teammates, but we pulled through and the gen was blocked by merciless and then pain res or vice versa and jeez it was intense. but he slugged the last person to get his 4k while i was trying to adept feng.
now i aint saying this is toxic yet, but im stating how the events were played out and so when he finds me he loses me and leaves then checks the gen again! ok good call, then he proceeds to chase me for almost all of the other mins timer and hooks me because i accidentally got a slow vault even tho i was running :/ then he shakes his head like MASSIVELY, pc head shake. and then i kobe and he comes right back to hook and i loop him shortly because i was at ormond shack stuck in a corner and he tried the dumbest mindgame and eventually i vaulted the window after he broke a pallet to try and bait a hit with lithe and he knew so he downed me again and then shook his head and swung at me then tried finding hatch, i had to watch as he failed to hear hatch so he gave up and hooked me when it was right by him... just for him to instantly go close it at end game. and when i say this i mean he purposely faked hatch to mess with me out of his anger
he not only got destroyed by me live, but proceeded to taunt and then trick me and i called him out for it for being messed up and he called me a noob and said i did nothing all match when i did like all the gens basically and when i did take chase which was 2 or 3 times he gave up because he couldnt catch me :| im not even salty but amused.
IS this normal during rank reset? This isnt to complain or brag or anything, i just am excited i finally had this experience but would like to know if this stuff is common at rank reset?

That's...not toxic, nothing is toxic except the endgame chat

Honestly some of the posts today make my head hurt

The killer beat me, they must be toxic.

Kinda just sounds like a normal game where you died. You can do a lot worse than shaking your head at people. I do that all the time if something funny or stupid happens.
Also, depending how rude he (or you, because you sound kind of cocky about the whole deal) was about it, Billy maybe had a point? It sounds like two of your teammates died before you got chased or hooked. I get you were going for an adept and you're kind of pushed to play conservatively when you're doing that, but ideally you could have lengthened the other teammates' lives by taking some heat off them before they died. If he was tunneling, not much you can do about that, but if he was just chasing whoever he ran into, it's worth throwing yourself into the fray if you have hook states to burn and other survivors don't.

How did he get destroyed if he got a 4k?
3 -
he chased me, couldnt hit me or chainsaw me... he literally broke chase with me 2 or 3 times because he couldnt catch me, i never teabagged or was cocky at all. i did gens and tried taking chase cuz i love billy?

its not that he beat me silly its simple, he not only taunted someone who he couldnt actually catch earlier in the match because he could 1v1 without worries of losing. he then acted like he was gonna take me to the hatch and also was toxic at endgame. i dont care that i died

chase is what matters when i talk about destroyed. he simply could never catch me during the game so when he could 1v1 me permanently he took like 2 or 3 minutes

whats wrong with my post exactly? i see many comments and they all seem to be in favor of billy when i did nothing but state my own game experience?

i mean, taunting someone for no reason other than anger is kinda toxic behavior, insulting others is toxic and taunting in dbd is the equivalent of insults. it always has been unless it happens after like a good play. like when i mess up as killer i shake my head or if a survivor outplays me ill nod at them and leave

I'm sorry, after seeing game after game after game of being taunted by people in the gate, anytime I miss an attack of some sort, or just straight up every pallet slam, I can't bring myself to care when a killer decides they want to ruin someone's day.
"i had to watch as he failed to hear hatch so he gave up and hooked me when it was right by him... just for him to instantly go close it at end game."
So he hooked you and then went to close the hatch later? What next, am I going to be toxic cause I pulled your tea-bagging ass out of the gate and NOED'd you to the floor?

It's often looked down upon when people make posts talking about how they wrecked other players, as it comes off as bragging, and anyone reading can't actually judge how you played or how severe (or deserved) any BM was without being able to see a recording. Even then, it's still a bit attention-seeking.
Mostly, you weren't clear that he'd chased you several times earlier or that he faked hatch, so it sounded like you were talking about doing gens as your major contribution to the match, lasting for two chases at the very end, and then complaining about some headshakes. When a killer says someone didn't do anything all match, that translates to they rarely/never saw you which usually means gens, and with kobeing meaning your first hook, it was the best assumption I could draw from the information you gave. I'll admit I'm a little dubious of anyone who talks about destroying/humiliating the killer and talking them down when they still end up caught; it feels very "you didn't ACTUALLY win because..."

silly i am saying he acted like he didnt hear the hatch so he could toy with me XD im not even mad but his actions were simply to annoy me which falls under toxic behavior at least to me. but hey you do you

ahhhh i see, i actually plan to clip his game and show our chases and post it to youtube since i wasnt recording. but ill edit that right now! i appreciate it

No problem! Out of curiosity, was the streamer live at the time? I'm not asking for names, that's against the rules anyway, but it'd make it pretty clear why he was doing anything he did. Like I could see headshaking at a slow vault as a funny thing, but carrying someone around to hatch just to hook them in front of it is always a dick move.
It's mostly a really fine line with these things - threads about "listen to what these jerks did" usually go over well as long as most people agree that the other player was in fact a jerk, but "listen to what these jerks did because they got mad at my leet skills" tend to crash and burn. There were two others I can think of in the last few days, one survivor and one killer, and they both went really badly for their OPs. And re: the streamer himself, there's a big difference between assumption and "yeah, he was raging at me the entire time."
Kinda projecting on that last bit, man. I'm all for taking revenge on BMers, but being a dick to random players without provocation isn't any more laudable as killer than it is as survivor. It's not a zero-sum game where you can right the karmic scales by paying back last survivor group's douchebaggery on the next; all that does is make more players pissed off at DBD's community.

he was live yes but a small streamer so it didnt really affect him, and it wasnt like a funny thing bevcause he did it each time i was downed. and yeah that hatch he took me right by it and acted confused then took me away and zoomed to shut it just to rub it in my face that he actually knew where it was XD

Streamers like me but I can get angry if there was a toxic or bully squad.
Whoever thinks that's they their entitled then I'm sorry but it's not ok to spread toxicity to other people on stream.
I played as Onyro and then when I came to his stream, he thinks I was mad. I was amused but not toxic.

Ok

Isn’t breaking a chase to find a better target a sign of intelligence? I do that a lot when I know the current runner is a I-loop runner.

"Kinda projecting on that last bit, man."
I'm not gonna lie and pretend I'm not. But I've forced myself to play only one game per side because I'm so tired of survivor mains and their bullshit.
Today was the only exception for a month because I saw someone get the Adept Dredge achievement and thought it was fixed and wanted to get it myself. And out of the five games I played as killer today, not one of them had less than half the group being dipshits, up to and including the game I DC'd from because I don't want to see the ass dance for the millionth time and have better things to do with my time.
Even the match where I got a 4 Iri game had two pricks that seemed to have an inner need to spam CTRL any time they threw down a pallet or vaulted a window, like it's something to be proud of.
So yeah, I'm projecting, but from what I've seen there's a greater than 50% chance that I'm not wrong.
And the worst part is I STILL didn't get the Adept achievement after two perfect games so far.

OK, so honestly I really don't see the toxicity here. I mean, sure he isn't the most gracious winner, but it's far from being toxic.
Secondly, looping a killer efficiently is not destroying him. Killer rely on survivor mistakes, if the survivor makes no mistakes, then the killer has very little options to expedite the chase.
It would appear that he in fact made the right call to leave you, apparently an efficient looper, for last, when he had all the time to chase you around every map resource, but you don't seem to realize that.
Watch true talent videos and you will notice that in a lot of games he gets "destroyed" in the early game, forced to drop chases and loosing 3 gens with 2 hooks, but he almost always bounces back. There is a reason for that.

Yeah but it's only how you interpret it, nothing anyone does is toxic, once again, only the endgame chat
