What's the best demogorgon build?

I've kinda been experimenting with different builds but idk what I should go with.

I've used perks like spirit fury with enduring. Bbq and corrupt, stbfl, pain res with dead man's switch.

But I'm not sure what the general consensus is on best demo perks, and I wanna find a permanent build for em.

Edit: Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I'll definitely be trying some new things out!

    Don't know about 'Best' but:

Lifeguard Whistle + Leprose Lichen (can be substituted for Scourge: Floods of Rage)

Make Your Choice, Save the Best for Last, BBQ, Pain Resonance. Tunnel back to the hook after each scream and maintain your hook pressure throughout the entire game. (ideally use Tier 1 MYC for the shorter cooldown, you won't need the long duration)

If you're feeling adventurous, Swap MYC for Devour Hope and defend your totem with your perma-wall-hacked portals.

The bread and butter build I use, and most other fellow demo mains use is:

STBFL (Save The Best For Last)

Pop Goes the Weasel (Sometimes I swap for Hex: Ruin)

    Corrupt Intervention

BBQ (or Thrilling Tremors if you don't care about extra bloodpoints)

    Addons I use are:

    Barb's Glasses (Yellow Addon)

    Black Heart (Brown Addon)

I usually win like 95% of my games with this build.

STBFL is everything. Besides that, I assume 1 Infoperk like Tinkerer or BBQ and 2 Gen-Slowdowns (Pop, Corrupt)

Pretty much every M1 killer can use Corrupt/PGTW/Bamboozle/NOED and do well. People might tell you not to bring Bamboozle on Demo, but he doesn't play around windows nearly as well as people think he does. You're going to want it against top level survivors.

Demo’s best build is the same as most M1 killers: BBQ, STBFL, and two gen regression perks of your choosing.

I prefer Ruin and Pain Resonance because both are passive regression.

    Add-Ons: Leprose Lichen + Barb's Glasses

Perks: Enduring, I'm All Ears, Corrupt Intervention, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (or probably any other slowdown Perk that goes well with CI).

Side note, don't use STBFL if you want to get good at Demogorgon's Shred, that's probably the biggest mistake you could make as a new Demogorgon player

Worth noting that StBFL is huuuuuuugely overrated on Demo. Just because you can use Shred to avoid losing stacks against the obsession doesn't mean that not using your chase power to get hits for the other 75% of the time is a good decision, and the only benefit it gives you is making chases slightly quicker when you M1, which Shred does anyway without needing 8 stacks.

Some interesting suggestions here, but here's mine.

Not going into addons, as he has some very good combos - but I like:

Devour Hope - Demo is incredible at defending totems.

Call of Brine - Demo has extreme sustained mobility, and can easily move to gens to inflict this, along with:

Pop Goes The Weasel. These two combined give excellent regression and info.

Discordance (If you aren't using Soda or Lichen) - In my opinion, the best tracking perk in the game, combined with COB you'll always have a target.

    OR

Undying - A bit of insurance against Devour getting exploded.

    My other mainstay is:

Pain Resonance - Just a great perk

    Plaything - A scaffold for:

Pentimento - Demo can both set up and defend Penti very easily, and even one, combined with PR is devastating. Better than a fully stacked Thana.

    Discordance - See above.

    OR

Floods of Rage - Provides global aura reading at a time when you're hopefully getting into a chase. Amazing perk.

    OR

Agitation - Makes PR much less RNG, plus catches people off guard.

Who? Never heard of that killer.

Seriously though, StBFL if you aren't confident in your Shred attacks is a great option.

Any aura reading perk helps, too.

Hex: Blood Favor is pretty good to block pallets when you want to M1 then Shred.

Rat Liver is a great add-on even for a Brown.

That's all I can think of right now, but others will probably have better suggestions.

My favorite build right now with Demogorgon isn't the "best" build but it's a lot of fun. 🙂 It's basically a build where you can just run around and attack at will and stay on survivor's tails the whole time.

    • Save the Best for Last - Faster basic attack hit recovery
    • Unrelenting - Faster basic attack miss recovery
    • Endurance - Faster pallet stun recovery
    • Spirt Fury - Periodic instant pallet breaks (you could also replace this now with Dissonance if you like that better)

    and for the two add-ons:

    • Black Heart add-on - Faster Shred hit recovery
    • Mew's Guts - Faster Shred miss recovery
    • Barb's Glasses - Faster Shred pallet break recovery

Of the add-ons I like using Barb's Glasses personally for the faster pallet breaks since there are a lot of times that you Shred and hit a dropped pallet in a chase and with that add-on they get noticeably less distance afterward. But I could see using the miss and survivor hit ones as a pair instead, either way.

Obviously with no slowdown or tracking this build requires good awareness and mindfulness of the macro state of the game to juggle the pressure on survivors. But with Demo's ability to track and get around the map with the tunnels he's pretty good at that sort of playstyle and at slugging and moving to a new area quickly. And once he's on a survivor's tail with this loadout it's hilarious how little distance they get when you attack or Shred. 😄

If you want to make the build a bit more flexible, though, and you're confident you never miss basic attacks, you could swap out Unrelenting for Jolt to get some gen regression every time you down someone. But for a klutz like me who whiffs at a few too many jukes Unrelenting is kind of fun. 😉
