The problem is the killer queue ends out being longer during events already because killer side tends to get more BP, add in being easier to get cosmetic and the waits are even longer. I usually end out playing killer at some point during events just for higher BP games than survivor but I want to play the game not just sit in a lobby waiting for a match.
I'd rather they do what they did during winter/new year events where it doesn't push everyone to play one side even more for the cosmetic reward and doesn't have requirements to make people play even sweatier than normal.

There are simple solutions to both problems, though.
@Tsulan can turn off their game chat, while you can realize that the vast majority of the DBD population doesn't care about your gameplay experience or BP gain.

Mostly true, but killer side cosmetic is easier to unlock? We have "hit 5 survivors within 15s from exiting a locker IN A SINGLE TRIAL" vs "escape 1 trial as Haddie". LMAO, whats up with that again? Hitting 5 survivors within 15s would be a fun challenge to farm, but in one single trial? Oof. Once you burst out of a few lockers, survivors will give them a wide berth.

Yea there's an event on though that's limited time, I just find it funny how I read an entire thread of complaining about survivors yesterday and people won't bring their cakes because of toxic survivors just to have my first match ever be a hard tunneling mori pyramid head.

You’re not entitled to how a killer plays the game nor are killers entitled to how survivors play. The outcome of matches doesn’t affect whether the world is going to end or not.

They "gen rush" cause literally every game the person who gets hooked first is getting face camped. What else are the remaining 3 survivors supposed to do while the killer is having a staring contest with ther person on hook?

The majority of survivor points come from escaping, escaping is like 5K BP survivors rarely get anything over 12K/15K if they don't escape

This isn't true.
Majority of points are from doing gens, being chased, and rescuing survivors. They make up a total of 24K out of the max possible 32K. And even with your example of making 15K without escaping, 5K is not more than half of 15K.
Survivor BP sucks, because they have to compete against their teammates for BP not because escaping provides majority of bp.

Both sides do it. I just finished a game with 4 bnps, 3 prove thyselves, 1 CoH, 4 ds, 4 bt, 4 dh. Game lasted maybe 4-5 minutes or so. Players trying their hardest during events happens literally every time.

Yea I worded it poorly, but it still means a quarter of survivors points come from just escaping, the others are split into separate categories, beiung chased the entire game means most of your points might actually come from escaping.

Weird, I've played 5 survivor matches so far and all were normal matches, no tunnel or face camping.. But maybe we have a different view on what's what

You can unlock that killer cosmetic with the "collect 1 invitation" challenge too.

My games are pretty chill, too.
I'm solo, though, and usually get blended PC/Console lobbies, so Killers most likely know they can chillax.

Fear not, another friendly killer joins the queue since i reinstalled the game and am really starting to play unlike for the last bo event.

Are you saying these people are one in the same, and that's why it's funny? How are you confirming this cross-section exists and isn't even in your head?
I found a suspiciously aggressive Feng, who obviously ended up on the hook more times as a result, afterwards I split hooks evenly all the way up to 12 and allowed the last survivor hatch. You know what I got in post-game? Complaints. I'm a tunneller. I'm dirty. It's an event.
Maybe, just maybe, the people who griped about survivors have every bit a legitimate issue as you do. But everyone is missing the larger point of the event, nothing is guaranteed - especially not your opponents behavior:
This is DBD: Take your BP by force, that is the only way the Entity operates.

Ive 8 hooked every team Ive faced, never killed them, didnt tunnel or camp, had people not use the event offerings, and still complain about the way Im playing. Ive done everything I can to play fair and nice, but people still complain and harass me. Dont sit there and act like it's only the killers doing stuff like this, both sides have players like this. The community, as a whole, is awful.

The first 3 games I've played so far I've been tunneled out of the match and camped. Can't even get my event rewards and event tome challenges done because of this. Killers ruin events more than anything.

Eh, both sides have annoying people at times. I know that I've had some...rough groups today, which generally result in me losing because I go in with fun, meme-y builds and try to play nice, only to get stomped when I realize that they just want to slam gens and get out ASAP too late to recover.

Im definitely a killer main at night (only play during the day when my son plays with me). I remember the first time I got called a tunneled (I play on ps4, so it was a message from a player) and I had to look up what it meant. I don’t tunnel people on purpose, I want my bbq stacks. But if I happen to run into you because your unhooker didn’t get my attention and I happen to find you again, I will hit you

Didn't survivors used the snowmen from that event as a mettle of man against killers during the full duration of it and players had to just suck it up and continue playing the game regardless?

Yes, many killers had a horrible time (As evidenced by the litany of threads created about it.
In b4 most players act like they only have time for 10 games so every game they must pull a mask or their event is irrevocably ruined.
