Could not wiggle free

As a survivor playing on ps4, I had a killer pick me up then drop me just before the progress bar to wiggle free filled up completely. After they chased another survivor, the killer picked me back up and even though the wiggle progress bar was full I couldn’t wiggle free. Spent about 20 seconds “wiggling” with the progress bar full but it had no effect.
