How do the Nemisis zombies work?

They're always in an inconvenient spot. Some games it feels like there's a zombie waiting for me when I go to do a gen and I'm looping the zombie around the gen unless I have a flashlight lol.

Are they programmed to hang around generators?

They drawn to loud sounds so yes they're drawn to active gens and loud noise notifications.

Vision wise it's in a cone in front of them.

They spawn under a random hook and they will wander.

Certain loud noise events will attract their attention and they will walk towards it.

Fast vaulting, Gen repairs and fast-locker enter/exit. Also flashbangs and pallet drops.

Their detection radius is pretty small but can be improved with an add on.

They're very reactive to audio! It makes perks like discordance, tinkerer, and call of brine especially handy on Nemesis, since it helps the otherwise pretty hopeless zombies get some clues on where to head.
