Why do survivors have to survive 'till the end to get cosmetics?
Once again, the killer only has to pick up the cosmetic to get it. But the survivor has to survive to the very end of the match.
Why? All this means is that survivors will bust ass to ensure that they can actually get to that point, and killers are going to go hard in response. Which means survivors will bust more ass, which means killers will get more ruthless, and we can all just get bent and eventually decide to just play killer to get the cosmetics.
I don't understand it.

I have only found 1 invitation unfortunately it was when I was playing blight and it spawned right next to me

You don't need to survive, you just need to last until an exit gate is opened I think
I know it's kinda the same thing but you can last the whole game and then die in the endgame and still get it, happened to me once or twice

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this either. That said, in my last few games, people have been going crazy hard regardless and just being...obnoxious.

You ‚only‘ need to live when EGC triggers. So I guess it’s at least a little bit better than having to survive and also it prevents survivors from hook suiciding immediately after picking an invitation..

So far, every match i've played has never gotten to that point.

I heard it was because before survivors would just kill themselves on hook as soon as they got it

I guess its to prevent survivors from throwing games so they'll get all the cosmetics as fast as possible similiar to the first halloween event.
Doesn't make sense though to be honest, because who's gonna throw games with up to 6× more BP than usual?

Definitely not a fan of the making one side have a requirement while other doesn't have to do anything and can actually deny players from getting their reward. I prefer the Lunar New Year event to anniversary, that one was equally rewarding for everyone not just one sided. I'd rather they just stop the rewards in game if they are going to continue to have it be something the other side can so easily deny.

I don't know why I expected it to be different this year but I did, and I'm disappointed :(

Not to be rude but you could just play like 12 killer games and the event is basically over at that point. Then go back to playing like you Normally would. It's basically the same idea as doing dailies and tomes for characters you don't play

I heard this as well.

survivors have killerphobia

You could technically throw the game on killer too. I agree it's kind of silly the survivor needs to survive in order to get their cosmetic when the killer merely has to play in any way they want provided they don't dc.
Well I'm only one man, but I'm not killing any survivors in this event unless they really ask for it. Like this one person who stole an invitation from another survivor. I downed one, it spawned in front of us, I already had my invite so I was going to let them have it. In comes a Yun-Jin and YOINK! I killed her.

I can, but sometimes i'm just not in the mood for killer. Same as sometimes i'm not in the mood for survivor.
But the sheer disparity of ease in getting these cosmetics is gonna force me, because wow those last 7 survivor games were absolute hell and my OCD isn't going to stop bothering me until I have them all.

Honestly I don't think any event has been fair and fun since the old Halloween event where you collected pustula serum

I played the game for 3 hours before I was even able to find an invitation. Killer slugged for the 4k.

I've got 1 mask out of 5 games lol and it was only because my team mates opened the gate a second before my icon turned to a skull after they didn't bother to unhook me. My issue is I can't find the bloody pedestals, or when I do they disappear just as I run up to them D:
