Can yall guys like... chill for a moment?

I hate playing during a dbd event.

It always looks literally the same, that there is always a lot of sweaty killers who camp, tunnel survivors and play like they are about to die if they don't finish the match in 3 minutes.

This game is just disgusting during events, killers take the absolute worst combinations of perks, I also non-stop run into Franklin so I can't enjoy my precious item for literally any time.

A while ago I was playing with a friend of mine on some Spirit that played just disgustingly. I'm a casual player, my friends and I don't use meta perks, we just want to have fun, laugh, relax.

Why do we end up with people who play like they're going to pass out if they don't kill everyone?

We don't have to escape from every match to have fun, but the level of embarrassment and sweatiness among the killers is just pathetic.

After talking to such a sweaty killer about why he behaves this way, he replied that a while ago he played an equally sweaty SWF that used BNP on generators and did genrush. But why take your anger out on other players for that?

People, chill out, please.

I wonder what kind of maps are unbalanced because every killer can utilize some of the maps.

Try to play against Trickster or Huntress on new Haddon lmao

Well, "absolute worst combination of perks" are the same for both side. My teammates all bring DH + IW, and play very agressively to proc DS. Also, people are free to use the perks they want. And I have seen a lot of chill Killers. (OK, one of them could have been me.)

I have to disagree with this… I’ve had plenty of Killers in the past 24 hours who have been pretty friendly & gave us the opportunity to get invitations & escape. I’ve tried to get my teammates to slow down on gens and allow the Killer to take advantage of the Flan as well and they do not care to.

Killers have been playing extra sweaty against me, but I’ve has equally sweaty teammates against them, even the friendly farmers.

I play killer and survivor all the time, and I don't have an issue with the behavior of either side? Sounds like you have an expectation as a survivor that you don't have as a killer.

We are not responsible for your asymmetrical bias.

Edit: In case that wasn't blunt enough: The opposing team isn't responsible for your petty nonsense either.

Not every build is tailored towards you, if the killer brings less and its underkill it feels worse than bringing more and having overkill simple as

Played chilled killer yesterday and it was kinda relaxing.

No expectations, just shocking as Doc, hitting who crossed my way, kicking stuff.

With all the offerings you get enough BP every match.

"Sounds like you have an expectation as a survivor that you don't have as a killer."

I have so high expectations to literally be able to do anything besides being camped, omg I am so entitled.

Do you want to add anything more? xD

    Sigh.

I'm playing both sides. Survivors are sweating just as hard, and being just as BM.

    ...I don't get your point.

    Yes, they absolutely do.

I just had a 3man SWF with sweaty as hell offerings blow through 4 gens in around 2 minutes with BNP and PTS. Another had a Jill and a Leon both DC on the first hook (not them). Both had flans.

Loop better and you'll spend less time being camped. Play better and you'll spend less time being camped. Still sounds like a personal problem.

His point was when he plays killer he is happy losing, when he plays survivor he is unhappy losing because he expects killers to play as poorly as he does, or he expects them to go easy on him, or he just expects a lot of things in general because he's entitled.

Im usually a friendly killer cuz it makes me happy. Not only during events. If i get a couple hooks on everybody, im good (unless youre a super annoying surv or i have challenges to do). However, playing "nice" during this event is absolute suffering when every other match is against an omega hit squad that blocks every hook and runs enough healing/second chance perks to bring Maurice back to life 10x over. So yeah, at this point im like "f it, kill em all n let the entity sort em out".

Advice from a friendly neighborhood killer....if you come across one thats not bustin your balls, maybe share some BP love. And if were lettin you get things done....get it done!!! Surefire way to get me to stomp for the rest of the night is to have a match where im tryin to let ppl live n they crouch walk the map for 30 mins.

TLDR, yeah itd be really nice if ppl would chill a little n enjoy some BP....but it aint gonna happen on either side.

This. Survivors can always play killer themselves and you can be as non sweaty as you want. I just hope you enjoy the clicking and teabagging that you will undoubtedly be rewarded with due to the reality that survivors don’t just magically start playing nice just because there’s an event.

Unless BHVR does something to encourage more relaxed game play from both sides the events are going to continue to be like this. You have survivors needing to get to the doors being open to get their reward so they try to do gens as fast as possible. Killers then try to kill as fast as possible and it's a miserable vicious cycle. Can have a lobby full of event offerings and both sides will play to see who can end the match the fastest.

I recommend playing killer to grab your in game reward since you don't have any criteria except don't DC to get the cosmetic and do the quickest track for the tome cosmetics so you can avoid playing any more than you have to during the event. If you don't care for the cosmetics then I'd definitely just stay away for the next 2 weeks, just do the daily log in rewards for shards and BP.

I agree. I started to play survivor yesterday and wasn't able to get any event items for several rounds. So, I switched to killer and played 12 rounds where I farmed with the survivors letting them get their invitations and opening the gate... in turn they let me hook each of them twice (most matches). I did the same for a little while today as well, but with a few normal matches as killer. If you are a survivor main trying to get the 12 masks... seriously - play killer for 12 rounds (find the invitation) and have fun.

Just remember it works both ways just had a match as killer I had lethal pursuer so like always I go to the closest survivor who I saw go on a gen. By the time i got there they were gone and a gen had been done so I hit the gen and look for them 10 seconds later another gen done I deside to go to a different gen. Finally I find someone I hit them quite quickly and then another survivor comes in to block me I hit them aswell then go after the original survivor after chasing them for another 20 seconds ish all the other 3 generators go of at about the same time then before I know it the exit gates open I finally knock down my first survivor I put them on a hook and disided to proxy camp (I was getting desperate) but the survivors all charge in 1 pull them of with borrowed time and they guard them to the exit.

After the match I see they all had anniversary toolboxes (which seem to powerful) all with increase charges and repair speed except 1 which has a new part.

They were probably the most sweaty survivors I have ever played in my 4 years of playing DBD

Sorry for the long comment but I was describing my whole match.

It's best to play killer during event you can adapt, if they're bad I hook everyone and let them go, if they tryhard I play normally / try to kill

It happens to both sides. I decided to try out controller, since I obviously wasn't going to sweat during an event, so I tried out controller dbd for the first time. I wanted to get my last stack of bbq, but people kept body blocking me from getting it. Like, I just wanted my last stack of bbq, and these people were body blocking and predropping every pallet imaginable.

Just give me my last stack of bbq...

I had a game earlier that made me wonder if someone was hacking.

See a 4man TTV with the same [Name], but I was on my Artist so I decided, what the hell? All with toolboxes.

Game starts, I fire off a birb volley, hit someone at the other end of the map. They jump into a locker, back on the gen. I get to them, gen is about 80% done.

I chase, but the gen pops behind me.

In the...maybe 30=40 seconds I spent chasing them (they ran me around that bloody central structure on Eyrie, argh), 3 gens pop back to back, and by the time I down them, the final gen pops and they manage to sabo the hook right as I'm about to get there.

The entire 5-gen cycle lasted around 4 minutes. I got 0 hooks or kills.

Everyone ended up with a pathetic amount of BP. Sure enough, postgame:

    • The team has 2500 hours on their least experienced member.
    • Everyone has Brand New Parts and extra charges on their toolboxes.
    • I get cussed out in Russian
    • I go and do some gardening for a while.

Tell it to the designers not the players...not the players fault he has to deal with those systems.

The people that do this during the event are the same people that do it outside the event. I don't think many people change their playstyle just because an event is going on (excluding the archives that make people do wacky things for challenges).

Honestly I'm trying to play chill. I got traumatized by a Clown. We had a 40 minute match where the gens were in a triangle and I just had to watch as my team was picked off. I eventually had to let someone die on hook to try and get out the hatch. And had to kneel repeatedly at door to get him to let me go XD I'm like bruh it's an event chill!

I’m usually a chill killer unless you go out of you’re way to annoy. Had a match last night where one surviver (who was pretty great) had the bad luck also of always running back into me. After she Kobe’d and I hit her when the gates were opened the other three just left. So I let her crawl out, got my last mask in that match while she was crawlin too
