Thinking about why games are so sweaty for everyone this event

I've seen more survivors sweating this event than ever before, while 3/4 of my survivor games are a baby killer who can't loop face-camping and tunneling, and I think it's all due to the mmr and the upcoming p3 rewards.

I think a lot of the casual survivors are playing killer because they aren't good enough to get more than 10-15k bp on survivor. They have been resorting to face camping and tunneling because they can't beat the survivor mains who only play survivor and are getting matched with people way outside of their skill level due to there being too few survivors to go around.

My killer queue times are up to 3 minutes, while I match as survivor almost instantly. In my killer games I have been getting dunked on by survivors who know how to do things like spin very well, abuse killer fov to disorient the killer, and get difficult saves like locker saves and cj techs all very effectively. even if you don't think those tricks are too skillful on their own, it takes a lot of skill to use a variety of survivor techs effectively in a single match. I never get survivors with that level of skill when I usually play. During this event I have been totally overwhelmed by the survivors and lost multiple games with just one or two hooks for the entire match. You can respond to that with "git gud" but I've gotten dominated by survivors more times since this event started than in the past 2 months, it's totally abnormal.

Another problem for the matchmaking is the sheer volume of players who are playing at the wrong mmrs, the player count has exploded, and most of them aren't at their proper mmr yet.

Do you agree? I at least think I'm partially right, even if I'm missing something.

Because events are always miserable sweat feasts. Nothing new.

Survivors have to make it to the doors being open or hatch open to get their masks so they have to focus on getting gens done quickly and not dying before that happens. Killers start playing sweatier because of this which leads to survivors playing even more sweaty.... And it's just a vicious cycle.

Killer queues are longer because not only do killers generally get more BP than survivors so will get tons thanks to offerings but many switch over to killer just to get the masks because killers just have to not DC to get them.

That's just normal gameplay to me.. I still don't know how people fall for cj tech any more since pallet + survivor with flashlight = obvious. Perhaps i just get attempts at it so often that i am use to it?

All you are seeing is the potential survivors have, but not many use. This is why balancing for mid while ignoring the edge cases is not a good idea. Especially in a game with sbmm where you will be put against people who know how to abuse every mechanic to its full potential.
