Kinda bummed that there aren't masks for every original character
Feng is my main, and not having a mask for her was really disappointing. It makes sense for licensed characters to obviously not get such options, but to not see every original character, or more specifically every OG character not get one, is rather disappointing.
The masks that are available for both survivor and killer alike are characters I really don't play with, so the desire to engage in acquiring the masks really isn't that strong for me. With the sheer amount of survivors and Killers now in this game, hopefully going forward BHVR will spread the love a little bit more when it comes to creating custom cosmetic items for these events.

I can’t blame them for not wanting to making custom masks for 40+ characters. I like how these more detailed ones turned out though especially Slinger and huntress even if I play neither of them

I am also a bit bummed I couldn't get a mask for like Claud or Meg. I wish they also did those masks. Not to come here and act like I am not grateful for what they have done so far, just expressing my feelings on that.

I suppose it comes down to time unfortunately - whilst it would have been nice for every single original character to get a unique mask, I doubt they had the time to do it, otherwise, well, they would have, which is why they gave 1 to each character per year.
Whilst it sucks if your main didn't get one, it is, in my opinion, nice to see that some of the characters chosen were some characters that don't often see frequent cosmetic updates, such as Ace. Hopefully next year if they do a similar event they can pick the characters that weren't chosen this year.

Oh I certainly wouldn't expect them to create custom masks for that many characters, but I expected at least the original characters to be given one: Feng, Claudette, Nurse, etc. That's the biggest part about this that surprised me.

They can save time then by giving everyone the same mask. I only main one survivor and killer, so every other mask was a bust for me until I got the one I wanted. If people don't have a mask for their main they might be less inclined to use them. Anecdotal of course, but playing this weekend I honestly don't recall a single player actually wearing a mask.

And I do agree that it is nice to see characters that usually don't get a lot of attention get these masks. Not seeing the original characters not get one though is the biggest surprise of all. Because of that I really have no desire to play the event other than to get some extra blood points here and there.

Probably so they can repeat this format for the next 3 years.
Next year it'll probably be something like: Meg, Feng, Jeff, Zarina, Jonah and a newer survivor. Plus Wraith, Clown, Plague, Oni, Twins and a new killer the next patch.

I'm bummed that there weren't more masks and actual formalwear for a masquerade. I don't like many of the character outfits and this was a great opportunity to do something new. I thought Dwight's mask would look cool with his elf outfit but it doesn't. I think it would look better with a tux.

I’m bummed too. I really only play Claudette and I really don’t have much of a drive to complete the anniversary rift.

The masks are cool but most will soon use cosmetics again.
Some like Aces are also a bit strange with these cards. And Yuis looks like a cap.

At the end of the day, survivors are essentially skins since there's nothing unique to them other than how they look. It's why many players don't invest millions upon millions of BP into multiple survivors. Limiting cosmetics is a way to get players to invest into playing multiple survivors.
To each their own, but I'll gladly stick with just Feng.
