Noed rework idea
No one escapes death: call upon the entity to automatically start the endgame collapse and open both exit gates upon completion of 5 generators.
However, both exit gates become blocked by the entity for 30 seconds, and during this time all survivors become exposed for the next 30 seconds. The Endgame Collapse timer is slowed down (or paused) during this 30 second period.

Hmmm, it definitely is an idea. Not sure how much I like this or hate this. I play both sides too, so maybe that's a good thing that I don't automatically hate it or love it for either side. It still seems like it can be strong for killers in certain situations, but sort of counterable from the survivor side. I like that it still has some aspect of exposed, but it isn't infinite until you find the one totem that you don't know the location of.
Good synergy with blood warden, and survivors can play around the blood warden as well even if the gates were automatically opened with this perk. I don't mind this concept. It definitely is different than how the current perk is designed.

I put some thought into this one, and it seemed like a much more balanced version for both sides. Still strong, and amazing perk synergy, but not a crutch like current noed.

Main problem is they'll know you have the perk if the collapse starts right away, so if no one's being chased, they'll just hide for 30 seconds and then run out

Well that's simply the counterplay. If you don't find anybody then you don't get value out of the perk. However if you do, you can get a free hook, and if you combo with Blood Warden, that makes for some amazing perk synergy.

Yeah, this would be the major downside to how the perk would work, but you do still have bitter murmur to help you out in end game though if you bring it. It would at least make it so that you need a small build for NOED and not just having an extra crutch that can bring the game completely around.

You could also use perks that would help you prepare for this, like Tinkerer alerting you right before the last generator goes, Rancor telling you where people are, Bitter Murmur like you said, etc.

But opening the gates right away would guarantee that the survivors pretty much all escape, especially if the exposed effect only lasts a certain time. By the time you hook someone, everyone else won't be exposed anymore, they can just BT save and run to the gate, without having to open it themselves.

Not good.
Your NOED + No Way Out + Remember Me

That's why Blood Warden would be such a good combo. Once you get the hook, you can immediately go for someone else. Rancor would also become very powerful for a build like this as well, as you could go straight for the obsession to try and guarantee a kill.

No Way Out and Remember Me wouldn't work with this, unless you're implying that my version of NOED makes those two perks obsolete since they can't be used here.

Seems to be a little too complicated to me.
I think a fairer, more simple change would be to have NOED snapshot the number of totems (incl boons) still standing when the gates are powered.
You get that many tokens, spend a token each time a survivor is put into the dying state, and survivors are exposed as long as you have at least 1 token.
Cleansing the new hex totem doesn't remove the exposed or the tokens, it only removes the speed boost.
This way it's not all or nothing, e.g. survivors cleanse 3 totems, you get 2 free instadowns guaranteed, etc. Survivors limit the extent of the ability by cleansing totems, and the only way to completely deny any instadowns is to cleanse all 5 before the gates are powered.

That sounds like an interesting idea as well, rewarding survivors for cleansing so you have less tokens if you bring NOED, and also punishing them for keeping boons up instead of cleansing.
