Right, but what are they taking out of the load out to put those in? That’s the question. If they go all in on gen speed then they’re losing maybe something like an Exhaustion perk or Unbreakable or Circle of Healing.
On a tangent, I wonder if Inner Healing plus Overzealous will be a thing? With the Overzealous buff and Circle of Healing prior nerf plus the recent killer perk that destroys Boons this might make a combo that cleanses totems for bonuses more popular.

Wow that is really tribal. Killers aren't the problem survivorrs are. That attitude is everything wrong with this community.
Killers camp all the time. Regardless of gen speeds. It has nothing to do with being forced. They do it
A because it is highly effective.
B it is unfun to go go against and they are toxic players.
This change is a buff for both. Every time the devs listen to the toxic and entitled players, part of the game dies. And they are doing it again.
They killed toolboxes
They killed flashlights
They killed looping
They killed saboing
They killed stealth
All of this came from killers. And you seriously called killers wholesome. They are no different from survivors.
They are both people.

Thanks! I hope you guys keep having fun, but I'm done with it. I feel that a lot of these changes are going to make the game unfun for both sides. Solo players are going to get hurt the most though... as usual.

I think you should play killer games before and after the update, playing both sides makes me more empathetic to killers 90% of the time. It’s so easy to stealth and complete a couple gens at the start of the trial and before you know it your at end game and the killer only has 1 or 2 hook states.
and this happens more often than not in most of my solo queue matches.

You know the worst thing? BHVR swallowed the whole "I CAMP BECAUSE GEN SPEEDS ARE TOO FAST SO ITS THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY!!!" crap, I dont camp or tunnel and I still get 3K and 4K as MYERS AND DEATHSLINGER on a daily basis, those people camp because they suck a lot and its the only thing they know to do and thats what they will keep doing because they made it even stronger.
"I WOULD LEAVE HOOK IF GENS DIDNT FLY I DONT HAVE TIME" its crap, now they wont leave the hook because now they know there is no time to fix 4 gens in time to power the gates and get a 3E, especially if you throw Deadlock into the mix.
I wouldnt mind all these nerfs if they actually got rid of camping outside of EGC but no, they made it stronger and they made it stronger against Solo, as always we are getting the short end of the stick to please noobs.

gen rushing wasnt a thing and gen speeds are buffed not nerfed xd while they sure added 10 sec more they made ruin half as effective and pop much less effective so gen regression will be much slower thus leading to no difference in my opinon, if anything gens speeds are being buffed as a survivor...

Are all you people complained about camping forgetting about the rest of the update? Did you read it at all? Now, survivors will get a shorter "base-kit BT" AND a haste effect when being unhooked, which helps you to reach pallets before the effect is over. This is the best tool against camping survivor received in YEARS as you won't need to bring BT and can use a perk slot for one of the buffed perks instead.

That number will only be a reality if the killer facecamps the very first hook before even the first gen is done. It doesn't happen that often at all. You also have a buff for unhooked survivors, which will help you to save them even without BT if the killer decides to tunel. Fixing all gens while one is being camped is not the only solution for it.

You're ignoring the huge buff to Overcharge and the small buff to gen-kicking in general. The whole point of the update is to make so you don't have to rely on the current meta perks. You can also end changes faster and apply more pressure thanks to the weapon swipe and pallet-break buffs.

I don't get why the survivors hate too much the generators but they hug them like a koala, even while they're injured and rushing them like no tomorrow, maybe if you weren't too obsesive on "BeInG EffiCiEnT" the gen reparation time wouldn't have been increased in first place.

Look at it this way.
Gen time is increased. Killers camping more as they have more time as it's more viable.
Anti gen perks are nerfed. Killers who play without the current anti gen perks struggle. Playing properly is far less viable. Thus killers camp more.
Regardless the outcome is more camping.

How does this fix camping with leatherface or doctor or hag or huntress or hillbilly or trickster?

Its strength should be buffed, BP does not matter with the new prestige anymore.
You earn 20K BP per match, its already allow you to get 2 Purple add-on and a purple Offering. For the BP and Addon/Offering relationship, the game should not give more than you can ever use.
It would make it no reason to ever use cheaper Add-on. Eventhough I agree weak Add-on needed rework, Add-on is designed to be used, not clutter that no one touch

All they did was encourage camping with these changes. It's honestly pathetic that zero thought went into discouraging camping at all, yet they'll buff a toxic perk that only punishes solo queue: Knock Out.

Nobody said camping will be gone, but it is still an improvement against it, just like gen regression isn't "fixed", but slightly better than before. You're not supposed to get free unhooks like that either: the unhooked person needs protecting from being tunelled out of the game, not the rescuer.
By the way, Doctor isn't that good of a camper and this change is definitevely good against her, as you will be able to get alway from the triggered trap before she gets an instant hit and, even if she gets, you can endure the hit.

Wrong, playing "properly" (while camping and tunelling is still as "proper" as any other strategy, I am going to suppose you meant playing without camping) is BETTER now with the buffs for killers in chase AND the increased gen times that allow for some gen regression even without the meta perks. Playing in a more "chill" way is actually getting MORE incentive with this update, as you will be able to end chases faster.

Darkness Revealed often does nothing because the range from lockers has to be quite low.
Biter Murmur only works when gens are done, which means:
- It depends on the SURVIVORS' actions to trigger, not the killer's.
- Only works 5 times per game.
BBQ is better. It's a good killer perk regardless of the bloodpoint bonus.

The faster recovery of downed survivors on it's own isn't enough though. We'll make it or Autodidact are better in that regard.

They probably touch some numbers, when the usage rate of certain meta perks instantly drops to 0 after release.

Autodidact isn't because it depends on skillcheck RNG.
But yeah, I agree it could use some additional effect. While healing downed survivors 100% faster can be pretty good, a lifesaver sometimes, it's too situational compared to other healing perks.

Survivors can hide in a locker from BBQ. After all, they get a notification with time to find one.
The other 2 perks don't give out warnings before hand.

They could apply the same RNG logic for Autodidact as they used for pigs traps or the trappers traps.

True. But Biter Murmur still has less value due to its use limitations, and you often won't see anything on Darkness Revealed either way. The range is so low they don't have to try to counter it, they do it without knowing most of the time.
Additionally, to enter a locker they need to stop any action they are doing, like healing and doing gens. Since that slows them down, they often don't and get spotted. Also, they need lockers nearby, some maps are terrible at locker distribution, so they won't be able to reach one in time. I see auras with BBQ nearly all the time, far more frequently than I do with Darkness Revealed.

That number I put its the extreme case, as I already say in my post, you need around 2 gens worth of progress to be able to make a 3E if you only push gens and nobody goes for the save and even a 3E is not guaranteed in that case, if you have less than that even if nobody goes for a save and just pushes gens odds are the Killer is at least getting a 2K, with a 10 second increase per gen you are going to need even more progress and im not even taking on account stuff like Deadlock which adds 30 seconds per gen fixed or the new Monstrous Shrine which allows you to speed up the hook while you happily proxy camp at a cozy 24 meters.
The buff for unhooked Survivors is meaningless, 5 seconds of base BT is nothing, people can count to 5 and the speed increase while it looks great someone already did the math, it gives you 1,7 meters of distance which is barely worth anything as Killers move at 4,4/4,6 m/s.

They made leveling up and getting bloodpoints FOUR TIMES AS FAST so that shouldn't even be a concern anymore. I think maybe they still should add an incentive for not camping a hook, like slowing down the hook timer depending on how close you are to it or even slowing down the Killer's action and movement speed by 2% while really close to a hook?

It's kinda hard to apply pressure if they've got a dedicated gen rusher just sneaking around you and they're SWFing so they inform each other of your exact location at all times.

I mean the new thana will be ok and the overcharge but im mostly worried about the survivors healing buffs. That botany will bring old CoH healers back again. Hit and Run is even more dead now which is very important to some killers.
The new endurance effect skills seems really busted ( off the record) with that skill we will never kill anyone in the end game. Borrowed time + the basekit together make it really strong at the end game.
They noticed that killers have been struggling and they make it easier for the survivors to heal + do gens + escape.. I'm not sure the buffs killers gets to base like 2.5% kicking and 10% faster kicking stuff down is going to help slower M1 killers that much
DH seems really broken still if anything might be stronger. I guess PT will tell but i do hope i dont see 2 second healers coming back again with botany + medkits +CoH

These changes are the worst DBD has ever been, and reading the posts its not surprising why. I just thought they were increasing gen times. But seriously.
Pop, scourge pain resonence, dead man's switch are effectively the same. Way to address that anti gen perk meta. Pain resonence is now works on all basement hooks. So. that's great. Way to make one of the new meta perks even more viable. Oh but survivors don't scream, awesome so less value for killers who want to play the game properly, need information to be incentivised to leave and more value for killers who intent to camp/ defend one hook... great design. Throw on the extra gen times, completing all the gens before that survivor dies is going to be hard. Worse still monsterous shrine now decreases the hook timer to 108 seconds. If you play to win, why would you not camp? Throw on deadlock, that survivor is dying... nothing less then 4 survivors with comms is escaping with more then 2 players. All the strong campers, insta downs, fast downs are now even faster with the decreased time with successful hits. And survivors gain less distance from the hit... just no words. Oh but don't worry survivors now have basekit BT. OF 5 SECONDS?????? But it's fine because they now get haste... also for 5 seconds. So once you get unhooked, better start moving because otherwise you are going down again. But don't worry you have DS to save you...

This is what happens when you listen to one side. SOLO survivor has gone form bad to unplayable, and even SWF has taken a hit. Maybe you won't abuse this. Maybe you are Some saint of virtue and will never abuse these changes despite how easy it is. But do you seriously think the majority of the player base will have the integrity not to? History says otherwise. This is the SECOND WORST PATCH IN THE HSOTRY OF DBD. The only time it was worse was when they buffed flashlights. Guess what all the killers quit...
Solo Q is done... good luck with SWF because that is the future of this game.

Not really sure why people keep saying solo Q is bad. Sure they are sometimes but ive had such a good time in solo Q and some survivors are really really good. If survivor is good they are good in Solo Q as well. if they are bad they are bad in SWF too.
Some of these buffs to healing and endurance is going to make it impossible for killers to kill anyone at end game and 2 second heals are reality again.

Imagine leatherface camping, in a 4 man swf. The person being camp says "I'm being camped do gens." So you all do gens, and escape before he gets his second down. great, not a fun match but you still beat him. Now imagine if you are 4 solo Q and a survivor is hooked. teammate one goes to the hook, says "oh he's camping" leaves to go on a gen. 20ish seconds wasted. Then teammate 2, does the same thing, then teammate 3. Before you know it 60 seconds out of your 120 timer is is gone.
Its other things as well. Players prioritising themselves, rather then the team, throwing matches to complete challenges.
Or my absolute personal favourite. Standing still for minutes at a time... not afk, they move... slightly. They just don't move from their spot. You seriously wonder if they are bots.
I have seen amazing solo Q players, top players, but overall SOLO Q is just not functional anymore, and this patch just crippled it.
